Does The Bible Condemn Birthday Celebrations

Keep That Birthday Away From Me

[pw = pagan word] This article first published D02 M07 2022  Updated D13 M05 2023

Mane manWhilst many believers would justify the keeping of birthday celebrations based on the fact that there is no direct command, "thou shalt not keep birthday celebrations"  we could say the same about smoking then. There are many things which are not directly commanded but which have to be tested. We are told to test every spirit. What is the spirit behind the action?

[Image : Birthday Greeting Card  -Two "Lion Kings" one counterfeit]
Do you want your children filled with "Mane Man" Mentality or do you want them to be subject to the Lion of Judah?

What is the Spirit? Does it honor Yahuah, does it honor your body, does it follow pagan rituals etc., etc.

Has the modern church become more apostate than centuries back with regard to birthdays?  You may be surprised at the answer.

The scriptures tell us that we should not do as the pagans do but Christianity and/or Catholicism does just that by encouraging birthday celebrations:

Christians can celebrate birthdays. There is nothing in Scripture that forbids it, nor is there any reason why celebrating birthdays could be considered unwise. Christians should feel free to celebrate their birthday in a God-glorifying way.

ref https://justdisciple.com/should-christians-celebrate-birthdays/

The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1911 edition, in the article "Natal Day," records that the early Catholic church father, Origen, acknowledged:

In the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banquet on his birthday. It is only sinners like Pharaoh and Herod who make great rejoicings over the day in which they were born into this world.

ref https://www.bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/topical.show/RTD/cgg/ID/788/Birthdays.htm

It is ironic since the same pagan institution of Babylon, Catholicism later invented dates for the birthdays of their Catholic occultic versions of Yahushua, Miryam  and Yahuchanon ("Jesus", "Mary" and John).  According to Catholic.com these three birthdays are formally celebrated in their liturgical calendar. (ref Catholic.com)

Wow, they are not ashamed to admit these are their own invented dates.

Popular American Pastor, TD Jakes claims the scriptures say we are not to keep days.

He uses this as justification for not obeying the shabbat/ sabbath command. Let's see how many pagan days Jakes really keeps. One of them is, yes, you guessed it,  birthdays: He is of course an agent of Rome, thus he also keeps the pope's pagan SUNday.

So, yes, it seems that the false relgious system called "church"  has indeed gone even lower. She has indeed become Babylon and the whole world is deceived by her. She opposes the  true assembly / congregation/ ekklesia / called out ones.

So let us examine various arguments in detail before we prove that the scriptures do indeed show birthday celebrations as a slippery path to destruction.

Argument 1:

"The Bible says to rejoice in the day the Lord has made. We should celebrate life because God created it.

This is the day that Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24"

ref https://justdisciple.com/should-christians-celebrate-birthdays/

Response 1:

It is ironic that the Lord's day is being used here as a general day when we know this is referring to the day of Yahuah. This is Yahuah's day of judgment when we are vindicated and Yahuah's vengeance is wrought upon the wicked. It is also doubly ironic since anti-sabbath pundits claim that the "Lord's Day" is proof for "keeping Sundays", that Apostle John was allegedly "keeping Sunday" in place of the sabbath (7th Day). However John was having a vision of Yahuah's Day (pw  Lord's Day). The context is when Yahushua comes and resurrects the righteous.

Psa 118:23-26  This is Yahuah's (pw the LORD'S) doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day which Yahuah (pw the LORD) hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Save now, I beseech thee, O YAHUAH O YAHUAH (pw O LORD: O LORD) , I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of YAHUAH (pw the LORD): we have blessed you out of the house of YAHUAH (the LORD).

The context is not about life on this earth, but the promise of eternal life to come through "the gate*" -  Yahushua (pw Jesus) and looks forward prophetically to that day.

Psa 118:17-21  I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of YAHUAH (pw the LORD).
YAHUAH (pw The LORD) hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise YAHUAH (pw the LORD):
This gate* of YAHUAH (pw the LORD), into which the righteous shall enter.
I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

More on the "Lord's Day" error:

If Christianity is justifying the celebration of birthdays because it is a celebration of this life on earth then they are directly opposing the teachings of Mashiach (pw Messiah).

Joh 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Birthdays are a pagan practice, a yearly reminder to enforce the idea that you should love this life as if there were no other. For the pagan this is true but not for the believer. He or she looks to the eternal life to come in Yahushua.

Heb 11:16  But now they desire a better country, that is, an shamayim (pw heavenly): wherefore Elohim (pw God) is not ashamed to be called their Elohim (pwGod): for he hath prepared for them a city.

Rom 6:1-3  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in Torah transgression (pw sin), that chesed /  (pw grace) may abound?
Elohim (pw God) forbid. How shall we, that are dead to torah transgression (pw sin), live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yahushua Mashiach (pw Jesus Christ) were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:10-12 For in that he died, he died unto torah transgression (pw sin) once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto Elohim (pw God).
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto torah transgression (pw sin), but alive unto Elohim (pw God). through Yahushua Mashiach (pw Jesus Christ) our Master (pw Lord).
Let not torah transgression (pw sin) therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Argument 2:

The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.  (Romans 14:6)

Response 2:

This verse in Romans is often used. I have no idea why as it has nothing to do with birthdays at all. It refers to honoring Yahuah on a day a general non-specific day. We are not told what day,  feast day or otherwise. Eating or not eating on an unspecified day naturally refers to fasting. It has nothing to do with birthdays. One might as well use this verse to justify that we can observe a day by burning our babies in the fire  to Moloch, we can eat or fast on that day but it does not matter since we are honoring "God". Yet this would of course be honoring the "god" Moloch. It is ridiculous to use this verse to condone pagan birthday celebrations.

I am sure most of you would ask the question, if this were about birthdays in Romans then the next question would be, is Shaul (Paul) talking about eating or not eating birthday cake on a birthday? No  of course not! There was no such thing as birthday celebrations in the mind of an early believer. This is about fasting versus eating on a day, the day being subject to Torah. For instance during the "feast" of unleavened bread we are not fasting at all but simply commanded not to eat leavened bread (chametz) for seven days. This command applies to anyone who is a believer (Gentiles) not just "Jews".

Exo 12:19  Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger [GENTILE], or born in the land.

Romans 14:6 is not in the context of birthdays or even the days of unleavened bread, it is talking to voluntary fasting on a non-specific day. Fasting is a voluntary offering that is a separate context here. If it is sabbath we can eat - it is a feast day of celebration of Yahuah's rest not fasting on that day. Roman Catholicism (aka Christianity) however tries to invent its own laws contrary to Torah by  enforcing days of fasting this is called bondage and the doctrines of men :

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.

For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasting_and_abstinence_in_the_Catholic_Church

There  are no such feast days (moedim) in Yahuah's yearly cycle (calendar- see: Whose calendar Do You Follow?) called Ash Wednesday or Good Friday. In fact there are no such things as Wednesday and Friday either in scripture. These weekday names are named after pagan gods. In like manner the Catholic church invented and instituted pagan feast days while trying to obliterate  those commanded by Yahuah. A good example is the weekly sabbath say they have tried to replace with SUNday worship.

Latin Church sui juris

Furthermore, all Fridays of the year, except when a Solemnity falls upon the Friday, are bound by the law of abstinence

Lent

In the early 20th century, Church law prescribed fasting throughout Lent, with abstinence only on Friday and Saturday.

ref Fasting and abstinence in the Catholic Church - Wikipedia

Here we see the Catholic Church installing a pagan feast (Lent) whilst trying to make the Sabbath (7th day -Friday Sunset to Saturday sunset) a burden rather than a delight as commanded by Yahuah.

Why is Christianity defending and using Catholic dogma which actually goes against what Shaul is saying in Romans- that fasting is VOLUNTARY? Well, they are in unity with this institution which the bible prophesied as spiritual Babylon.   See : Torahless Pope - Prophesied By Daniel .

Conclusion: Shaul is certainly NOT saying that the keeping of birthdays is a voluntary thing since he is not talking about pagan birthdays at all!

Argument 3

We should make the most of every opportunity we are alive and rejoice in every day we get to be alive. God says we should be wise with our lives making the most of our time.

ref https://www.bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/topical.show/RTD/cgg/ID/788/Birthdays.htm

Response 3

We notice how the focus of this argument is conveniently directed to the quantity of life, making the most of time. It diverts away from the more important quality of obedience to Yahuah's Torah here.

Psa 84:10  For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Elohim (pw God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Christianity / Catholicism of course hates the Torah and sees it as some kind of evil that brings bondage. Well,  is that not Satan's lie from the start. Instead they will promote any pagan ritual that falls on "a day" and try to  justify this based on loving life rather than Yahuah and his commands. We see that David would rather have one day than a thousand as long as he is in the presence of Yahuah, ie. keeping his Torah. Those who refuse to keep his Torah are cast from His presence for eternity and destroyed in the lake of fire.

See : But I am not Jewish

Argument 4

The three wise men brought gifts to Jesus on his birthday. Surely this supports the celebration of birthdays or Christmas day

Response 4

Firstly we are not told there were three wise men and they did not bring gifts  to any "Jesus" or Yahushua on his birthday. They came much later, as late as two years after.

Mat 2:1  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem

Mat 2:11  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Mat 2:16  Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

We shall prove further in this article what season Yahushua was born and it was not December 25th. The month December had not even been invented yet and the shepherds were not watching their flocks by night in the winter even if Frank Sinatra was "dreaming of a white Christmas". That is a pagan Catholic dream or should we say nightmare.

PLEASE NOTE WHAT CAUSED CHRISTIANS TO BACKSLIDE - IT WAS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH'S CHRIST MASS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION INVENTION :

It wasn’t until the 4th century that Christians abandoned that way of thinking and began celebrating the birth of Jesus, also know as Christmas. Celebrating the birth of Jesus was partly enacted to recruit those who already celebrated Saturnalia, the Roman holiday.

  https://www.pumpitupparty.com/blog/how-did-the-tradition-of-birthdays-begin

This lie was then held onto by the so-called Protestants who have never been reformed back to Torah keeping but are still tied to their mother Rome or papa the Pope.

Long time ago In Bethlehem So the Holy Bible say [NO IT DOESN'T]

Mary's boy child Jesus Christ Was born On Christmas day

Hark Now hear The angels sing A King Was born today

These famous protestant lyrics show that  giant lie surrounding birthdays. The original hymn text was written as a "Hymn for Christmas-Day" by Charles Wesley (founder of Methodist Church), included in the 1739 John Wesley collection Hymns and Sacred Poems.

Is it pure coincidence that the true Malak (pw king) Yahushua (pw Jesus) would be corrupted through a pagan birthday celebration lie. Do we really want to keep birthdays when all we see is evil and deception surrounding them even to the corrupting  of the scriptures?

Birthdays were first considered to be a pagan ritual in Christian culture.
In Christianity, it is believed that all people are born with “original sin.” That, in combination with early birthdays being tied to pagan gods, led Christians to consider birthdays to be celebrations of evil. This lasted for the first few hundred years of the existence of the Christian Church.

Also, World Book Encyclopedia (3:416) states:

"The early Christians did not celebrate His [Christ's] birth because they considered the celebration of anyone's birth to be a pagan custom."

So if birthdays were first considered a pagan ritual in the Christian culture how can Christianity now justify them as not pagan?  It is simple they have no choice since they began to compromise by accepting the pagan birthday invention of Christ Mass as if it were the "gospel truth". Hence one can celebrate birthdays becomes to them  a "gospel truth" by the same manner.

For more see: Saving Christmas?

Argument 5

The bible does not condemn the celebrating of birthdays.

Response 5

Actually the scriptures do condemn the celebration with historical evidence of birthdays being kept by the pagans and / or disobedient.  We will further show that a certain bible character hated his birthday.

The term "birthday" (Hebrew - yom yawlad ) is in the scriptures and with these recorded accounts, it certainly does not offer any support for the keeping of it as a festivity either. This should be an alarm to you. "Bible Tools" explains in summary.

The Bible notes only two birthday celebrations, one in the Old Testament, one in the New. It should be instructive to review them because the way the Bible colors events indicates God's thoughts on a matter. Though the subject of birthday celebrations is never broached directly, it is mentioned as a detail in two negative vignettes (a third also negative possibility might be found in Job 1).

ref Bible Tools - What the Bible Says About Birthdays

Please note we shall cover Job later as it is more than just a "possibility" . It is a clear certainty.

We find the first occurrence in Genesis 40, in the account of the dreams of Pharaoh's butler and baker. After hearing these men's dreams, Joseph tells them that within three days the king will restore the butler to his office but hang the baker (Genesis 40:9-13, 16-19). "On the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday" (Genesis 40:20), the king did just as Joseph had predicted. The day ended badly, not only with the death of the baker, but also with Joseph having to languish in prison for another "two full years" (Genesis 40:22—41:1)

The New Testament occurrence appears in both Matthew 14:1-12 and Mark 6:14-29. Herod holds a feast on his birthday and is so pleased by the dancing of his step-daughter that he promises to give her anything she desires. Her mother, Herodias, instructs her to demand the head of John the Baptist, as revenge for his condemnation of her marriage to Herod. Though regretful, Herod orders the execution, feeling bound by his oaths and pressured by his guests (Mark 6:26-27). One birthday celebration ends with a hanging and a servant of [Yahuah] God locked in prison, and the other with the corruption of a young girl and the death of one of [Yahuah's ] God's greatest prophets, the Elijah to come (see Matthew 11:11, 14).

ref: ibid

Even if scriptures do not directly condemn birthday celebrations with a "thou shalt not" then how do Christians justify other things being wrong which also have no direct command. Some of these would be  smoking of cigarettes, pipes or cigars.  We know that  many believers rightfully frown upon this practise. They know what cigarettes do to the body which they correctly claim  is the haykal (pw temple) of Yahuah. Here they know how to apply the indirect commands yet when it comes to birthdays they are suddenly ignorant.

A direct command is given in the scriptures concerning pagan practises which as we shall show indirectly refers to birthday celebrations which have pagan origin.

Lev 18:2  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Yahuah (pw the LORD) your Elohim (pw God).
Lev 18:3  After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
Lev 18:4  Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am Yahuah (pw the LORD) your Elohim (pw God).
Lev 18:5  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am Yahuah (pw the LORD).

Now besides too much cake being bad for one's health the obvious reason to avoid birthday celebrations is on a spiritual level. We have certainly been commanded to stay away from those things that the pagans do and it goes without saying that birthday celebrations have a pagan origin. These things open us up to the spiritual world of demons and it becomes clear in the story of Job that birthdays are pagan and keeping them results in tragedy and even death.

Most Christians are fully aware of avoiding the Ouija Board as it is directly related to talking to spirits which is directly condemned in the scriptures. The person that does these things is to be put to death by the Law of Moses. Since there is no haykal (temple) today this law will apply at judgment day for those who have not repented (turned away) from such things. Talking to familiar spirits exposes one to Satan and his demonic activity on one's life. Yet when it comes to birthday celebrations Christians cannot see the demonic spirit world attached and where these practises were founded. Let's look at the pagan origins:

It all started with the Egyptians.
Scholars who study the Bible say that the earliest mention of a birthday was around 3,000 B.C.E. and was in reference to a Pharaoh’s birthday. But further study implies that this was not their birth into the world, but their “birth” as a god.

When Egyptian pharaohs were crowned in ancient Egypt, they were considered to have transformed into gods. This was a moment in their lives that became more important than even their physical birth.

Pagans, such as the ancient Greeks, believed that each person had a spirit that was present on the day of his or her birth. This spirit kept watch and had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday that particular individual was born.

ref https://www.pumpitupparty.com/blog/how-did-the-tradition-of-birthdays-begin

As a tribute to her, the Greeks would offer up moon-shaped cakes adorned with lit candles to recreate the glowing radiance of the moon and Artemis’ perceived beauty. The candles also symbolized the sending of a signal or prayer. Blowing out the candles with a wish is another way of sending that message to the gods.

It is assumed that the Greeks adopted the Egyptian tradition of celebrating the “birth” of a god. They, like many other pagan cultures, thought that days of major change, such as these “birth” days, welcomed evil spirits. They lit candles in response to these spirits almost as if they represented a light in the darkness. This implies that birthday celebrations started as a form of protection.

"a form of protection"  - please bear this in mind when it comes to the account of Job in the scriptures which we will cover later!

In addition to candles, friends and family would gather around the birthday person and protect them from harm with good cheers, thoughts, and wishes. They would give gifts to bring even more good cheer that would ward off evil spirits. Noisemakers were also used to scare away the unwanted evil.

The ancient Romans were the first to celebrate the birth of the common “man.” This seems to be the first time in history where a civilization celebrated the birth of non-religious figures. Regular Roman citizens would celebrate the birthdays of their friends and family members. The government, however, created public holidays in honor of more famous citizens.  Any Roman turning 50 years old would receive a special cake baked with wheat flour, olive oil, grated cheese, and honey. But an important thing to note is that only men would experience this birthday celebration. Female birthdays were not celebrated until about the 12th century.

“The giving of birthday gifts is a custom associated with the offering of sacrifices to pagan gods on their birthdays. Certainly the custom was linked with the same superstitions that formed the background for birthday greetings. The exchange of presents is associated with the importance of ingratiating good and evil fairies on their or our birthdays [ibid].

Argument 6

The scriptures say we are not to do as the pagans do but we do not see individual pagans celebrating birthdays as we do today . It was only  originally celebrated by the  Pharaohs for instance being born as gods and not celebrating their birth dates as such. So celebrating the day you were born cannot be doing as the pagans did.

Response 6

If this argument comes  from the very same people who rightly reject the celebration of Christmas because it began as a birthday of a sun g-o-d then why do they not reject birthdays which began as birthdays of man g-o-ds amongst the Pharaohs?

They are both vain practices of the heathen (pagan nations) - all pagan nations not just Mitsrayim (Egypt). Furthermore it seems Egypt did in fact celebrate real birthdays apart from the birth of a Pharaoh as a god.

"Mesopotamia and Egypt, the cradles of civilization, were also the first lands in which men remembered and honoured their birthdays. The keeping of birthday records was important in ancient times principally because a birth date was essential for the casting of a horoscope."

ref Ralph and Adelin Linton The  Lore of Birthdays

To this day the so-called star sign of pagans and their birthdays is still a big deal. On the contrary   "Long ago, the average person never paid any attention whatsoever to the anniversary of their birth. The initial pattern that developed concerned the celebrating of the birthday of their deity, once each year, at the winter solstice. This is the origin of Christmas, since the winter solstice was considered the "re-birth" or "birthday" of the solar deity (Natalis Sol Invictus, or the Nativity of Sol, the unconquerable). This alone marks the behavior as originating from the rebellion against YaHUaH, Who is the one and only Elohim of Heaven and Earth. Remember that YaHUaH commanded that we not learn the ways of the heathen (Dt. 12). Later, people began to celebrate the annual birth of their king at the same time as their deity, aligning their ruler with the same honors given to their deity. In their minds, their ruler became an anthropomorphic version of their deity. In the east, average people slowly began to celebrate their personal "birth day" once each year on what they believed to be "new year's day." Eventually, people developed the custom of observing their personal birth day on the annual day they were actually born."

ref  http://www.fossilizedcustoms.com/birthday.html

Let us not forget the so-called "New South Africa" was birthed into this pagan (Sol)  Invictus spirit using the annual pagan Mandela Birthday celebration, god-king worship invented by the United Nations to immortalise a heathen so-called Father of Humanism. This is yet another reason for the near failed State's downfall, spiritually,  economically and socially.   (See: And End To Hu-MAN-ism. ) and (Sacred).

"Birthdays were first considered to be a pagan ritual in Christian culture. In Christianity, it is believed that all people are born with “original sin.” That, in combination with early birthdays being tied to pagan gods, led Christians to consider birthdays to be celebrations of evil. This lasted for the first few hundred years of the existence of the Christian Church."

It is obvious that the early believers knew all too well the pagan origins of birthdays then because they had more clear records and they were not desensitized by the pagan rituals of Rome such as Christ Mass which now indoctrinates and seduces people from a very young age.

"Babylonian astrology was the first known organized system of astrology, arising in the second millennium BC.[1]  In Babylon as well as in Assyria as a direct offshoot of Babylonian culture, astrology takes its place as one of the two chief means at the disposal of the priests (who were called bare or "inspectors") for ascertaining the will and intention of the gods,  The Babylonians used horoscopic astrology.[13] By observing the seasonal movement of the sun, moon, and planets, the Babylonians connected their beliefs of divine intervention in their everyday life to space and time. They would forecast their future circumstances by observing space through time and relating ominous events, such as a lunar eclipses, to social, political, and environmental problems in aspects of their everyday lives, such as giving birth to deformed children."

ref Wkipedia

So as early as 2000 BC the Babylonians were probably attaching birthdays to horoscopes.

Egypt TimelineWe shall prove that biblical events actually confirm the celebrating of birthdays at this time by mere individuals not just Pharaohs celebrating being born as gods. The scriptures have repeatedly changed man's perception of historic accounts and we should use the bible as an accurate historical record rather than secular accounts which have had to be changed many times only to fall more in line with what the scriptures recorded long ago. A good example of this is the biblical time line which remains accurate and we see how it corrects the previous secular assumptions of Egypt's ruling Pharaohs.

Click on pyramids for full article.

It is safe to assume that birth dates were recorded to compare them to the celestial events and thus the pagan horoscopes through star signs were developed.

Now while we shall later prove an early pagan keeping by individuals of birthdays, we shall also show that the bible's future warnings against pagan practises are embodied in the kingdom which started them in the past and which flourishes to the end; Babylon.

Rev 17:5  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 18:4  And I heard another voice from shamayim (pw heaven), saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her torah transgressions (pw sins), and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Now is it any wonder that Yahushua's revelation given to Yahuchanon (John) would tell us to come out of Babylon so that we do not partake of her torah transgressions. What exactly does that mean? Babylon refers to the world as opposed to the ways of Yahuah and his commands. Yahushua needed to remind us in the end times that the pagan roots of Babylon including birthday celebrations are still with us till the time of his return. Birthdays celebrations are now flourishing throughout the world being celebrated by almost anybody. We need to overcome these pagan abominations which so easily entangle some.

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the torah transgression (pw sin) which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Heb 12:2  Looking unto Yahushua (pw Jesus) the author and finisher of our emunah (pw faith); who for the joy that was set before him endured the stake (pw cross), despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of Elohim (pw God).

Note how we are to look now to our author and finisher rather than our birth mother and birthday.

To understand Babylon and the development of her pagan ways we need to understand the prophet Daniel's complete vision of the Metal Man which showed all the kingdoms that would rise and fall from his time, Babylon, until Yahushua's second return.

“Originally the idea [of birthday greetings and wishes for happiness] was rooted in magic. The working of spells for good and evil is the chief usage of witchcraft. One is especially susceptible to such spells on his birthday, as one’s personal spirits are about at that time. Dreams dreamed on the birthday eve should be remembered, for they are predictions of the future brought by the guardian spirits which hover over one’s bed on the birthday eve. Birthday greetings have power for good or ill because one is closer to the spirit world on this day. Good wishes bring good fortune, but the reverse is also true, so one should avoid enemies on one’s birthday and be surrounded only by well-wishers. “Happy birthday” and Many (more) happy returns of the day” are the traditional greetings”, -[The Lore of Birthdays, Linton, p. 20]…

Pagans, such as the ancient Greeks, believed that each person had a spirit that was present on the day of his or her birth. This spirit kept watch and had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday that particular individual was born.

You can thank Greeks for all those birthday candles.

Gods and goddesses were a huge part of Greek culture. Greeks offered many tributes and sacrifices to appease these gods. The lunar goddess, Artemis, was no different.

Pagans, such as the ancient Greeks, believed that each person had a spirit that was present on the day of his or her birth. This spirit kept watch and had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday that particular individual was born.

A brief history of Valentine’s Day – from the patron saint of epilepsy to Chaucer’s love tales It wasn’t until the start of the first century AD that the Roman custom of celebrating the birthday of friends, family and the reigning emperor with gifts – and the rather excessive consumption of wine – became popular and widely practised throughout the Empire. So extravagant and degenerate did these birthday parties become that, in the fourth century, early Christian communities tried to have them outlawed."

Birthday gifts - eating of unclean foods - camel, donkey

3) Greece

Birthday wishes related to magic protection

4) Rome

everybody starts having huge feasts, getting drunk, killing martyrs. (Titus Herod, Antiochus )

Hence Rome tries to outlaw birthdays

but replaces with pagan Christ Mass

5) Babylon Today (Roman Empire headed by Roman Catholic doctrines as prophesied by Daniel)

celebrating: huge feasts, drunkness, birthday wishes, candles, horoscopes, + Christ Mass....

Everybody now celebrating birthdays and /or Christmass including atheists (eg. Richard Dawkins ) and other Satanists.

We have now done a full circle back to the origin or root of birthday celebrations as seen today to get to modern Babylon which embraces birthdays and whose very icon (idol) is Christ Mass the greatest pagan birthday celebration invention of all time. It has nothing to do with the Son of Elohim , Yahushua.

S-a-n-t-a (S-a-t-a-n) Baby

Christmas... In 354 A.D., Bishop Liberius of Rome ordered the people to celebrate on December 25. He probably chose this date because the people of Rome already observed it as the Feast of Saturn, celebrating the birthday of the sun (Sechrist, Christmas, Vol. 3, 1966, pp. 408-417).

TEST EVERY SPIRIT : SATANIC BIBLE REVEALS TRUE SPIRIT OF BIRTHDAYS

Here is the Satanic head honcho telling you what the spirit of birthdays is himself:

There is an affinity of such commemoration among the wicked as recorded in The Satanic Bible (Anton LaVey, (Air) Book of Lucifer – The Enlightenment, Avon Books, 1969, Ch XI, Religious Holidays, p. 96) regarding Birthdays:

"The highest of all holidays in the Satanic religion is the date of one’s own birthday. This is in direct contradiction to the holy of holy days of other religions, which deify a particular god who has been created in an anthropomorphic form of their own image, thereby showing that the ego is not really buried. The Satanist feels: ‘Why not really be honest and if you are going to create a god in your image, why not create that god as yourself." Every man is a god if he chooses to recognize himself as one. So, the Satanist celebrates his own birthday as the most important holiday of the year. After all, aren’t you happier about the fact that you were born than you are about the birth of someone you have never even met? Or for that matter, aside from religious holidays, why pay higher tribute to the birthday of a president or to a date in history than we do to the day we were brought into this greatest of all worlds? Despite the fact that some of us may not have been wanted, or at least were not particularly planned, we’re glad, even if no one else is, that we’re here! You should give yourself a pat on the back, buy yourself whatever you want, treat yourself like the king (or god) that you are, and generally celebrate your birthday with as much pomp and ceremony as possible."

http://www.mashiyach.com/Misc/birthdays.htm

Yes, it is celebrating yourself as special, a man-god. Perhaps you admire the spirit of a Pharaoh or even a Holy Roman Emperor (pope).

This is not far fetched since the charismatic evangelical teachers who celebrate birthdays today teach the same satanic blasphemy that you are a "god".

What better way to be a false god yourself than to rebel against Torah, as they do, while claiming to be like the Most High on a throne.

Some Pastors even charge huge amounts for members to be "privileged" enough to join them in their birthday party. [eg. the Late Dr Fred Roberts (Pastor Benny Hinn's so-called Apostle) of the Jesus Dome, South Africa.]. Here we see Pastor Benny Hinn's recent "telethon" side-kick, Nigerian Scam Pastor who says he is a god. This is all part of the Satanic birthday spirit.

Argument 7

There is no historical evidence amongst the Jews either suggesting that birthday celebrations are a sin.

Response 7

The Jewish historian, Josephus, does not agree with that statement.

The Jews in Christ’s day knew God’s attitude toward birthday celebrations, “Nay, indeed, the law does not permit us to make festivals at the births of our children” (Josephus, Against Apion, II:26).

One could argue that this law may just have evolved from Rabbinic oral law traditions (takanot) and not from the written Torah (law of Moses)  itself but then we will show how a man of the bible called righteous by Yahuah himself considered birthday keeping. This would mean that he was righteous according to Torah and not according to oral traditions of Pharisees or Rabbis etc.

In their essay titled "Birthdays, Jewishly," Lisa Farber Miller and Sandra Widener point out that the Encyclopedia Judaica is very blunt on this topic:

"The celebration of birthdays is unknown in traditional Jewish ritual."

... Originally, even as more and more Gentiles began to profess Christ (so much so that they outnumbered those of Jewish heritage that did), the early Gentile leaders also did not endorse the celebration of birthdays. No early church writer endorsed the observance of birthdays by Christians, nor are they ever listed in the early observances of the Christian church.

Therefore, the celebration of birthdays, was clearly not part of "the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3).

No early religious/church writing from the second century that I have seen (and I have read most that are available) seems to endorse (or even suggest) the celebration of birthdays by any who professed Christ.

Argument 8

There is nothing bad about commemorating your birth into this world. A Christian does not see it as evil. God sees the heart.

Response 8

In Christianity, it is believed that all people are born with “original sin.” That, in combination with early birthdays being tied to pagan gods, led Christians to consider birthdays to be celebrations of evil. This lasted for the first few hundred years of the existence of the Christian Church.

As we said before one compromise of evil (Christians accepting Christ Mass) led to accepting the next evil. It was not so before!

Others would argue that the word "evil"  is too strong a word. So, let's examine what is evil and see what Elohim sees when he looks at the heart.

Gen 8:21  And Yahuah (pw the LORD) smelled a sweet savour; and Yahuah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth

It is clear that Yahuah defines fallen man's heart as evil, period. It is so from his youth or to put it another way from his birthday. He is born with sin. Thus birthdays celebrate the birth of sinful man. What is there to celebrate in birthdays when there is the new birth of a believer by the spirit which creates a heart of flesh which is no longer evil but keeps Torah as per the Renewed Covenant promised.

Eze 11:19  And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Eze 36:26  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And what is the result of the second birth of the Renewed Covenant through Yahushua as prophesied here?

That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances,

and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their Elohim
(Eze 11:20)

The Renewed Covenant

Jer 31:31  Behold, the days come, saith Yahuah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yahuah:

Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahuah, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.

Jer 31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahuah: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yahuah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their Torah transgression (pw sin) no more.

If  the Satanist who wrote the Satanic Bible sees the birthday as the highest of all "holidays" in their calendar then it follows that it is of the highest evil too. It is the rebellion and rejection of Ezekiel 11:20 and Jeremiah 31:31-34. It celebrates the birth of sinful man born with evil in his heart. So, once again let's read about that evil being celebrated:

We are not here to imitate the evil practise of the wicked but to imitate (follow) Mashiach Yahushua who did not take part in the evils of birthday celebrations.

1Co 11:1  Be ye followers (imitators) of me, even as I also am of Mashiach משיח (pw Christ).

Now did our Mashiach Yahushua give himself a pat on the back and celebrate 30+ years of birthdays treating himself like a king, buying himself whatever he wanted or did he lower himself and choose to serve us here and give of himself, losing his very life on this temporary earth which  La Vey refers to as "this greatest of all worlds". It is clear that for La Vey there is no new Jerusalem and no new earth as promised to the righteous through the resurrection of Yahushua by his Father. The only god of this world is Satan/ Appolyon/Abaddon who will be destroyed along with this earth and those who follow him.

2Co 4:3  But if our good message (pw gospel) be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4  In whom the god of this world (satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the magnified (pw glorious) good message (pw gospel) of Mashiach (pw Christ), who is the image of Elohim (pw God), should shine unto them.
2Co 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Master Yahushua HaMashiach (pw Christ Jesus the Lord); and ourselves your servants for Yahushua's (pw Jesus') sake.

So this spirit is directly contrary to the spirit of Yahushua.

1Th 5:22  Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1Th 5:23  And the very Elohim (pw God) of shalom (pw peace) purify ( pw  sanctify) you wholly; and I pray Elohim (pw God) your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Master Yahushua HaMashiach (pw Lord Jesus Christ).

This same spirit of elevating oneself or perhaps others elevating the birthday boy or girl as something special, even a god. This is how Satan /Appolyon/ The Destroyer /Son of the Morning himself (erroneously translated as Lucifer)thinks. This led to his fall and will lead to his destruction in the lake of fire.

Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Son of the morning ( pw Lucifer), son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into shamayim ( pw heaven), I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim (pw God): I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. [not in righteousness but wanting power, to be served...]

Isa 14:15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to sheol/grave (pw hell), to the sides of the pit.

Does Satan not want to take many with him? Is that not the spirit? Are birthdays not that portal of thinking, that very false spirit? Does scripture not say "which didst weaken the nations!" ?

Is there hardly a nation which does not practise this pagan celebration of birthdays?

Argument 9

How can being born into this world be a bad thing? It is good and therefore worth celebrating.

Response 9

Is being born even a good thing if that individual betrays Yahushua? Of course not!

Mat 26:24  The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Note how scripture does not esteem a birthday but rather esteems those who do not betray Yahushua while Satanism which betrays Him does esteem birthdays wanting to celebrate them annually as a high holiday. It is clear what spirit this is, it is rebellion in direct opposition to the teaching of Yahushua which is his Father's Torah. The temporal life is elevated with the birthday celebration while the righteousness that comes from redemption, repentance and obedience to Yahuah is forgotten.

Argument 10

Not celebrating your birthday is despising you parents especially your mother who brought you into this world.

Response 10

Now, this one is probably one of the hardest to overcome for many. Family expectations and /or coercion, peer pressure is a strong force.

A Mother's Request

Mat 20:20  Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
Mat 20:21  And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
Mat 20:22  But Yahushua (pw Jesus) answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
Mat 20:23  And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Mat 20:24  And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
Mat 20:25  But Yahushua (pw Jesus) called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
Mat 20:26  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
Mat 20:27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Mat 20:28  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Early Throne SyndromeOne could say equally and foolishly that Yahushua despised his mother by willfully laying down his life for wretched sinners like us and leaving her behind. One can justify any pagan thing through the worship (esteeming greater than Yahuah) of mother or father and worst still  if they are pagans. Many use the command "obey your parents" while disingenuously ignoring who the ten commandments are addressed to. It is for Torah-keeping parents who bring their children up in the ways (Torah) of Yahuah. A child is not to worship idols simply because their parent tells them to.

At the heart of this mother's request in Matthew was the beginning of a wrong spirit; to be great like the Most high. In this case being like the, King,  Most High's Son, seated next to him. This spirit was not right and neither is the spirit of birthdays which seeks and esteems self-elevation rather than servant hood. This Throne Syndrome mentality is started very early with birthdays.

Now, Yahushua does not esteem mother or father above his own Father and neither should we. We must obey Torah. Keeping pagan birthdays does not show love to anyone but rather leads to death and destruction as we shall show.

Mat 10:37  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Yahushua was not afraid to withdraw himself from his own mother or brothers if they should not be Torah obedient to the Father, Yahuah. He made it abundantly clear.

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of Elohim (pw God) the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
(Mar 3:31-35)

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of Elohim (pw God), the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
(Mar 3:31-35)

The converse is also true,  a believing parent is to withdraw from a child's insistence on them joining them for their birthday celebrations. There is sufficient evidence for such a righteous act as we will show later.

Argument 11

It is a true blessing to celebrate birthdays with family since children are a blessing from God.

Response 11

And it came to pass, as he (Yahushua) spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word (Torah) of Elohim (pw God), and keep it.

(Luk 11:27-28)

Keeping birthdays is not a blessing but brings curses as does any Torah transgression. We shall show this further on. A child who does not obey the Father is not a blessing but is cursed.  Encouraging children to keep birthdays is cursing them as we shall show.

The whole heresy of Roman Catholicism / Christianity is based on the Babylonian cult of Mother Child (Isis /Horus ) worship and has nothing to do with scripture (Math- Gen) and everything to do with idolatry.

babylonian idolatry

Hence Christ Mass and birthdays have sprouted from Catholicism and the so-called Mary Mother of God is intended to become supreme over the Father and His Torah. Utter blasphemy and worship of the womb and breasts of Artemis/ Madonna or any other fertility goddess to which they bow.

Yahushua prophetically rebukes this spirit here in Luke 11: 27-28. His mother Miriam was a Torah observant woman to the point that she did not even finish preparing his body for the tomb but postponed it for after the shabbat.  On the other hand the fake Mary (Isis) of the Catholic Church is that idol which is worshiped on SUNdays while the shabbat is profaned. Her Cathedral entrances are even designed as entrances to the womb so dedicated are they to their fertility cult. Pagan birthday celebration is naturally an annual celebration of fertility, worship of the womb and breast as if the mother is the Creator of life like the blasphemous Mary Mother of God  as if Elohim is not  Creator of all things including Miriam, the mother of Yahushua. Birthdays reinforce all these pagan occult spirits and Mother's day is her next best friend.

Argument 12

We should celebrate our birthdays as it reminds us of where we have come from and how we have grown spiritually.

Response  12

There is no commandment to celebrate our birthdays to remind us of anything. We are however directly commanded to wear tzitziot (see video) to remind us to keep Torah.

So direct commands by Yahuah are ignored and others invented as if they were direct commands.

We simply use our birth date to calculate the obvious - our chronological age for various reasons. We see Luke using a birth date to calculate an event and it is not a birthday party as you shall see.

Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Yahushua (pw Jesus) tarried behind in Jerusalem.

Now why does Luke take the time to calculate Yahushua's age here? There are several things that come to light.

We do not have to use an excuse to keep pagan birthday celebrations.  Yahushua's parents had no birthday celebration for Yahushua ever. Instead they celebrated the feast of passover every year as Luke explains. They were Torah obedient as we should be, keeping Yahuah's feasts (moedim).

Now  when Yahushua turns 12 it is the same as always. They keep the passover and no birthday celebration is mentioned. Yahuah's feast days are scriptural while birthday feasts are NOT.

This would be the perfect time for Luke to mention a birthday celebration if such a thing existed. But it does not. Even at his coming of age or the time when a boy is considered accountable as a man no birthday celebration exists. As we said  מִרְיָם Meeryawm (not a Catholic Mary) was a torah obedient woman when Yahushua died , she still obeyed sabbath and she certainly did not allow pagan birthdays to come in the way of keeping passover with her son and husband. She was not a fake Catholic Mary idol.

Jumping to modern Jewish tradition  (which we,  by the way, do not follow or endorse):

The Jewish tradition holds a Bar Mitzvah when a Jewish boy turns thirteen and thus becomes responsible for himself and his actions.

ref  https://servantsofgrace.org/coming-of-age-embracing-a-biblical-manhood/

While it is generally considered to be age 13 for boys, 12 is also mentioned acceptable in Rabbinic circles today.

Moral Maturity

Rabbinic literature appreciates this process as a gradual movement into adulthood rather than a sudden, absolute, and singular moment of transition. So while a 13-year-old boy’s vows are accepted as binding, his testimony regarding real estate negotiations is not, because though he is 13 and a man for some purposes, for others he is still only a boy, lacking in sufficient knowledge to be held liable. Moreover, 13 is not an absolute beginning just as it is not an absolute end to the maturation process; thus, upon examination, a boy’s vows even from the age of 12 and one day will be accepted.

ref https://jewishmuseum.org.uk/schools/asset/life-cycle-bar-bat-mitzvah/

While Yahushua does not seem to have made any vows as done today, nor was subject to Rabbinic law per se where it made void the Torah, he would have at least been viewed as a man in Luke's eyes according to the general biblical custom and certainly by the teachers of the law when he astonished them with his understanding and answers at the age of 12 in the haykal (pw temple). It seems clear that he was probably even more than a year in advance for moral/spiritual maturity.

His parents probably were not expecting his physical maturity till the next year let alone being shocked by his understanding of the scriptures in the first place. Passover was over and they wanted to go back home. But where was Yahushua, was he celebrating a birthday with friends, was he eating cake, blowing out candles, making wishes?

And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the haykal (pw temple), sitting in the midst of the doctors (instructors / teachers), both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Yahushua increased in wisdom and stature (years or size), and in favour with Elohim (pw God) and man.

(Luk 2:41-52)

Neither Yahushua , nor Luke nor his parents suggest any reason to celebrate a birthday even in the important milestone of Yahushua's coming of age.

"wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business"

Instead it is business as usual doing the business of the Father. Yahushua was doing the business of his Father in the haykal (pw temple), learning Torah and his parents were doing the Father's business of keeping passover with the boy as commanded every year. They were bringing him up in the ways of Yahuah not in the ways of pagans. This all happened regardless of his birth date which Luke tells us fell on passover. Birthday celebrations were not kept as they are not the Father's business.

It almost seems as if Luke is reminding us that Yahushua had turned 12 because his parents certainly had not noticed nor announced it. This is a retrospective note Luke is making. They did not keep birthdays.  They probably were only looking for physical signs of maturity .

Secondly it becomes quite complicated for us to work out our birth day from year to year given the calendar of Yahuah and the way it shifts back and forth and even adds a 13th month if the barley is not ripe (Abib) to mark the first month of the year.  See: Whose Calendar Do You Follow? Luke however had calculated it since it was missed by the parents. It was not significant in terms of birthday celebration but with reference age of maturity which he had grown into by the Spirit of Yahuah as prophesied.

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

Isa 11:1  And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 11:2  And the spirit of Yahuah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahuah;

Isa 11:3  And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of Yahuah: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

Yahushua had been Bar Mtzvah'd  as it were, not by Rabbinic custom but by Yahuah his Father.  He was now truly beginning the Father's business as "a son of the commandment" which is the direct meaning of Bar Mitzvah today. Of course today it has mostly become a big pagan ritual like birthdays where the boy often does not even know Torah nor desires to keep it. They will only remember a big party, cards, presents food etc., etc. much like Catholicism/ Christianity's pagan torahless confirmation rituals.

Argument 13

But we are not Jewish , we are under a New Covenant.

Response 13

see:  But I am not Jewish

The New Covenant or Re-New-ed Covenant does not do away with the Torah which is not only for "Jews" as Christianity falsely teaches. ( Another 100 page discussion altogether).

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of Elohim (pw God), and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   (this is the very definition of Torah)

2Ti 3:17  That the man of Elohim (pw God) may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works

But let's see if birthday celebrations line up with the teachings and spirit of the Re-New-ed Covenant as taught by Shaul (Paul) on their own?

Rom 6:3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were mikva'd / immersed (baptized) into Yah'ushua Mashiach were mikva'd/ immersed (baptized) into his death?

Shaul is obviously emphasising us as the new man in Yahushua leaving behind the old man in his birthday suit.

Rom 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Mashiach was raised up from the dead by the splendour of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The very symbol of birthdays does not show the walk of newness of life but celebrates the old life.

Rom 6:5  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Nor does the birthday look to the resurrection but magically "wishes for many more days" in this life.

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is impaled (pw crucified) with him, that the body of torah transgression (pw sin) might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve torah transgression (pw sin).

Rom 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from torah transgression (pw sin).

Rom 6:8  Now if we be dead with Mashiach, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Rom 6:9  Knowing that Mashiach being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Rom 6:10  For in that he died, he died unto torah transgression (pw sin) once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto Elohim.

Rom 6:11  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto Torah transgression (pw sin), but alive unto Elohim through Yah'ushua Mashiach our Master.

Rom 6:12  Let not torah transgression (pw sin) therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Birthdays are often all about the lusts thereof

Rom 6:13  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto Elohim, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto Elohim.

If we are buried with Mashiach the old man is dead  and the new creation no longer "celebrates" birth of the old man. If one does one does not truly believe nor appreciate he has been BORN AGAIN in the spirit looking for eternal life. He must then continue to celebrate the pride of this life as if there is no eternal life. He lives a torahless (pw sinful) life instead.

Brithdays only encourage the flesh to seek after earthly things and not spiritual things which the sinful man already has as a weakness. We do not need birthdays to puff up the flesh.

Even a spiritual leader of the Jews,  the Pharisee Nicodemus was struggling to see things spiritually and focussed on the birthday concept instead of the spiritual rebirth. Remember Jews would not be celebrating birthdays then so,how much more focus is there now on the earthly birth through birthdays away from the spiritual.

Josh 3:1  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Yahudim (pw Jews):

Joh 3:2  The same came to Yah'ushua (pw Jesus) by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from Elohim (pw God): for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except Elohim (pw God) be with him.

Joh 3:3  Yah'ushua (pw Jesus) answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the rule and reign (pw kingdom) of Elohim (pw God).

Joh 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Joh 3:5  Yah'ushua (pw Jesus) answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the rule and reign (pw kingdom) of Elohim (pw God).

Joh 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Yes, Yahushua reproved his spiritual blindness.

Birthdays, to most, represent chronological maturity but they are not spiritually mature.

We should grow in maturity and come out of our childish ways, often filled by pagan ideas from our parents who merely followed the ways of the world. Parents will use the excuse of celebrating these childish things themselves for the sake of the children but teaching pagan things only offends children.

1Co 13:11  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man [ spirit man], I put away childish things.

1Co 13:4  Love (agapay - love feast) suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [as on a birthday]

The spirit of the Re-New-ed Covenant according to Yahushua goes against everything birthdays celebrate and uphold:

1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Joh 12:25  He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Yahushua also taught with vivid and sobering words that we should rather remove a body part, eye or hand if it causes one to transgress torah than to lose the whole body in the lake of fire. Cutting off birthdays surely is not so traumatic as this yet see how they scream and howl if you were to suggest its removal. Perhaps it is because this birthday thing is the thing attached to all those body parts which transgress torah and love this life, yes, that old man which has not been put to death.

Argument 14

All this focus on death rather than birth is not healthy. This anti-birthday teaching is not biblical. It is a cult like Jehovah Witness teaching.

Response 14

The teaching is indeed scriptural both from the Old Covenant and Re-New-ed Covenant and leads to true śâśôn שָׂשׂן (gladness, rejoicing) rather than the "happy" spirit. See: Happy

Death Better Than Birth

Osteen Happy Face A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.

(Ecc 7:1-3)

Draw nigh to Elohim (pw God), and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye torah transgressors (pw sinners); and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Master (pw Lord), and he shall lift you up.

(Jas 4:8-10)

The toxic non-stop positivity in the world today and amongst false teachers, eg. Joel Osteen, is not healthy. It leads to indifference, denial and disregard towards Yahuah's Torah. It is another form of a seared conscience soaked in presumption which is what we will cover later with reference to the book of Job. Then there are the plain Happy Humanists like Richard Dawkins who reject the Torah all together. (See:  An End To Hu-MAN-ism)

PAGAN WORD, PAGAN  DEITIES AND PAGAN FESTIVALS

While staring at Happy Face Osteen,  what is the word that first comes to mind connected with "birthday"? Chances are you  might have said "Happy" , yes as in "Happy Birthday".  Hey, everybody wants to be "happy" seven days a week right, so why not on your special day , your birthday, right?

Well, let's look at the word Happy and its etymology:

Happy is a pagan deity, a word used in the modern corrupted translations eg. Modern King James Version etc. The word 'happy' is not in the original.

"The Religion of Ancient Egypt, by Samuel A.B. Mercer:

The river NILE was deified under the form of its ANCIENT NAME HAPI (h'pi) or Hep* (hp).

It was thought that HAPI dwelt in a grotto on the Island of Bigeh, in the Nile...There is extant an interesting HYMN OF THANKSGIVING TO HAPI, and the books of the Nile-god are referred to.

As a water and vegetation-god, HAPI WAS IDENTIFIED WITH OSIRIS, Hapi being the Nile and Osiris the fertilizing virtues of the river (PT 2063). The Nile was said to have come forth from the sweat of the hands of OSIRIS, and the soul of Osiris was revived by water flowing from the breast of the MALE-FEMALE HAPI and from a vase in his left hand....(Luzac & Co., London. 1949, p. 185).

Samuel Mercer explains that --

He was worshiped, no doubt, as early as the first prehistoric settlements on the banks of the Nile, and, although no regular organized liturgical cult of Hapi is known, offerings were made to him for his aid and blessing during the periods of inundations. Out of that developed the regular FESTIVALS OF THE NILE...such as those of Rameses II, when many kinds of offerings were made TO HAPI, and later the festival of the annual rise of the Nile was celebrated throughout Egypt with great solemnity. Still later, Heliodorus Aeth. X, I, speaks of an offering to the Nile and a festival (ib., IX, 9). The early Church Fathers refer to the worship of the waters of the Nile, and the festival of the Nile is celebrated even in our own day. We have reference to several temples which were DEDICATED TO HAPI, at Nilopolis, Heliopolis, and Memphis. -- Ibid., p. 186.

In discussing the hymn of thanksgiving to Hapi (mentioned in the above quote) historian Miriam Lichtheim makes the following comments: "HAPY, the personified inundating Nile, AROUSED FEELINGS OF THANKFUL EXUBERANCE which inspired some fine poetry. Pyramid Text 581 speaks of the 'meadows laughing when the riverbanks are flooding,' and the great hymn [to HAPI]...has woven the reactions of the people to the annual miracle of the inundation into a highly effective composition, which was much admired by the Egyptians, as the numerous text copies attest....The god HAPY did not have a regular temple-cult. But there were FESTIVALS IN HIS HONOR, at which hymns were undoubtedly sung" (Ancient Egyptian Literature. Vol. 1: The Old and Middle Kingdoms. University of California Press, Los Angeles, 1975, pps. 204-205).

Here, in this very quote, we find a textbook dictionary definition of the word "happy" -- "feelings of thankful exuberance"! This, my friends, is where the modern English word "happy" comes from -- ancient Egypt and HAPI, the god of the Nile! "

Hep Hep party*We Note the alternate for this god Happy is also Hep. While the word "hep" in English is defined as

"used to mark a marching cadence" it was only first seen 1899 and is said to have an unkown origin. There have been many theories of its origin including the antisemitic Hieroslyma est perdita’, which means “Jerusalem is fallen” or “Jerusalem is lost”.  This was later shortened by Germanic tribes fighting Jews to “Hep Hep Hu-raj”  (todayifoundout.com). However we propose the mystery god Hapy or Hep is obviously the clear hidden meaning needing no shortening and is clearly still used in more than one way today. The first being in the pagan birthday ritual or greeting Happy birthday (secretly praising the pagan god)  and the second of Hep Hep Hurray. Again the pronoun is used clearly praising the Happy or Hep god as clearly depicted in this booklet "Spoken English for Fillipino Learners 1 3rd  Edition 2003"

This is another reason why birthdays are not commanded in scripture. They are pagan and offend (corrupt) the little ones.

"hep" became "hip" which means "with it", "in the know" or "aware" , thus we have "hippie" one who is with the pagan world under Hep/Hapy/Osiris  as confirmed by

DIRECT PROOF IN THE SCRIPTURES AGAINST BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATED BY INDIVIDUALS 2000 YEARS AGO

For our proof we will now look to the book of Job. It is considered one of the oldest books in the bible. Job lived in Uz which is very likely in or close to Mesopotamia one of the kingdoms prophesied about in the final lead up to today's modern spiritual Babylon (Roman Catholic Church and her Protestant Sisters).

The influence of Mesopotamia's probably got to Job's sons.

Mesopotamia, literally meaning the ‘Land between the Rivers', includes modern Iraq, north east Syria, and south east Turkey spanning across the rivers of the Tigris and Euphrates. As the cradle of urban civilization, many modern developments owe their origins to  ancient Mesopotamia  such as the invention of writing, complex administration and astrology

   ref https://hk.history.museum/en_US/web/mh/exhibition/current-03.html

It is clear that Job was upset by the fact that his sons were celebrating their birthdays. This is not a possibility but a clear and definite fact. Do not let anyone try to put doubt in your mind. We shall now present those facts.

Job 1:4  And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

We must remember how many sons Job had

Job 1:2  And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

Let's assume all seven sons were born on different days of the year then it would mean this would happen seven times every year.

From this verse it is clear that each time it was their birthday they would get together inviting the sisters to join them to celebrate and feast in each of the son's houses.

This is typically what happens with birthdays today. It is clear also that Job was not invited. We should ask the question, why not?

The question  is simply answered by the context of the opening verse :

Job 1:1  There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared Elohim (pw God), and eschewed evil.

So, to the person who has never read Job before, the first example the reader gets of Job fearing Yahuah and withdrawing , turning away from evil is in connection with birthday celebrations by his own family!  It is clear that Job was experiencing this detestable behaviour for a long time. His sons were now men with their own houses and were still continuing with this pagan practise.

Most of you who at least know a bit about the story still may forget this main characteristic of this righteous man Job - an anti-birthday man. Is it because you have been brought up in a culture of birthday celebrations and have overlooked this important beginning to the whole story about how much Job feared Yahuah.

If Job had been invited it means he would have turned them down seven times at least every year. But it is more likely that his sons would have known Job's stand against these pagan celebrations and would not have bothered to invite him then. They were probably rebelling against their father repeatedly each year and were now encouraging the daughters to join them.

Why were the daughters not celebrating their birthdays? It seems historical records can answer this and confirm the accuracy of the scriptures.

"an important thing to note is that only men would experience this birthday celebration. Female birthdays were not celebrated until about the 12th century."

What does Job do next? He tries to put things right with Yahuah on their behalf

Job 1:5  And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and purified (pw sanctified) them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have transgressed torah (pw sinned), and cursed Elohim (pw God) in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

What becomes interesting is that Job is not sure about whether they have transgressed Torah (pw sinned) for sure.

What does this mean? Could righteous Job be the first to judge the birthday celebration as something that leads to torah transgression. He says

...But that they may have cursed Yahuah in their hearts.

This would fall in line with birthdays. One does not necessarily transgress Torah when one acknowledges one's birthday since that we do every time we calculate our age for instance however to celebrate it with a feast as pagans is enough to concern Job to go to the extent of offering up a burnt offering to Yahuah in an attempt to purify them.

It is possible that their feast days began to take preference over the feasts (moedim) of Yahuah.

Was this a test case for this newly discovered idea of pagan celebrations of birthdays that righteous Job was now having to face and deal with? Where have we witnessed such a thing? Did not Moses have to seek Yahuah's counsel regarding the man who gathered sticks on the shabbat. What would be his end? Yahuah said he should be stoned to death

A Sabbathbreaker Executed

Num 15:32  And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

Num 15:33  And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

Num 15:34  And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

Num 15:35  And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

Num 15:36  And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as Yahuah commanded Moses.

Was this a test case for a man who ignorantly made a mistake and thought he was able to do this? No, it was a test case for presumption, wilful torah transgression. Very clearly prior to this incident the scripture contextualises the difference between willful and ignorant torah transgression. The former is atoned for by an offering and the latter by loss of soul. Moses' people would have known the difference.

Num 15:27  And if any soul transgress torah (pw sin) through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

Num 15:28  And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that transgressses torah (pw sinneth) ignorantly, when he  transgressses torah (pw sinneth) by ignorance before Yahuah (pw the LORD), to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

Num 15:29  Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

Num 15:30  But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth Yahuah (pw the LORD); and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Num 15:31  Because he hath despised the word of Yahuah (pw the LORD), and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

Willful torah transgression had no atonement for the perpetrator.

Yahushua would be that atonement once and for all. Hence, today, any further willful torah transgression is considered worse and more fearful for that soul. This is quite the opposite to what false teachers preach concerning "hyper-grace" . See : Joseph Prince the Deceiver

For if we transgress torah (pw sin) wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more offering (pw sacrifice) for torah transgressions (pw sins), But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without favour (pw mercy) under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of Elohim (pw God), and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was purified (pw sanctified), a non- qodesh / ceremonially unclean (pw unholy) thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of kindess (pw grace)?

(Heb 10:26-29)

Indeed this too was a test case for all Israel showing the consequences of presumptuous wilful torah transgression against Yahuah. It is clear that Job's sons knew that they were now willfully going against their righteous father's counsel. They willfully continued even after Job made an offering and purification for their possible initial ignorant  transgression. It is however clear that they continued repeatedly in their rebellion since Job continually tries to cover them with an offering to Yahuah.

Job: 1:5 ...Thus did Job continually.

This is not just some small thing.  Job is praying for them to come to repentance as well and cease from this thing which can lead them to curse Elohim.

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous torah transgressions (pw sins); let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
(Psa 19:13)

This is the thing that Job stays away from for that very fact.  Job is "perfect and upright, and one that feared Elohim". Job is not a Christian or Catholic but a true believer. He has spiritual discernment.

demolishedIt is no surprise then that Satan could destroy the lives of his rebellious sons and daughters and it seems fitting that this should happen during one of their birthday celebration get-togethers which had clearly become a  false worship of sorts and willful rebellion. Photo by Dan Seddon on Unsplash

Job 1:13  And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Job 1:18 ...Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Job 1:19  And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

It is significant that the eldest brother is mentioned to remind us that his chronological age being celebrated  as the eldest was vanity since as the eldest he should have been the spiritual example and stopped this birthday celebration.

It is almost reminiscent of the sudden destruction that came upon Pompeii as they celebrated their pagan Vulcan deity. Yahuah destroyed them using the false deity, the looming volcano that they worshiped. Could they have been so ignorant? Had they not recently been martyring the believers in Rome's cruel amphitheater, had they not willfully rejected the good message of repentance from idolatry and salvation?

When Yahuah tells us to avoid the things that may cause us to turn from Him and we do not listen the results can be detrimental and even life threatening.

you will remember we highlighted the fact that birthdays were started as a form of protection according to this reference:

It is assumed that the Greeks adopted the Egyptian tradition of celebrating the “birth” of a god. They, like many other pagan cultures, thought that days of major change, such as these “birth” days, welcomed evil spirits. They lit candles in response to these spirits almost as if they represented a light in the darkness. This implies that birthday celebrations started as a form of protection.

It could imply that Job's sons thought they had protection through this pagan act of birthdays like a talisman, hence Yahuah allowed Satan to bypass their false hedge of protection.

Solomon the wisest man according to the bible, even turned his heart against Yahuah because his heart went after pagan women which no doubt may have also encouraged him to hold birthday feasts linked to the gods they served. Note he was connected to the daughter of Pharaoh and we know how they were celebrating birthdays as man-gods.

Solomon Turns From Yahuah

1Ki 11:1  But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites

1Ki 11:2  Of the nations concerning which Yahuah (pw the LORD) said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

1Ki 11:3  And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

1Ki 11:4  For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

Neh 13:26  Did not Solomon king of Israel transgress torah (pw sin) by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his Elohim (pw God), and Elohim (pw God) made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to transgress torah (pw sin).

Rebellion Against Yahuah Is Witchcraft.

1Sa 15:23  For rebellion is as the torah transgression (pw sin) of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of Yahuah (pw the LORD), he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Note how witchcraft and rebellion are synonymous with birthdays. Let's revisit our previous reference:

“Originally the idea of birthday greetings and wishes for happiness] was rooted in magic. 20]…

Now, it is interesting to note how an example of stubbornness against Yahuah is seen in a king, namely Saul. He loses his chance of being king. We shall come back to this shortly.

Many would say, but wait a minute Saul was not celebrating a birthday in this account. No, he was not but he was commanded something by Yahuah which many of us would perhaps have thought twice about obeying or perhaps thinking to be too extreme much like in the case of those who see our view on birthdays as too extreme.

Saul as King  was commanded by Yahuah:

1Sa 15:18  Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

Saul tries to justify his disobedience as he explains to the prophet Samuel:

1Sa 15:19  Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of Yahuah (pw the LORD), but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of Yahuah (pw the LORD)?1Sa 15:20  And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of Yahuah (pw the LORD), and have gone the way which Yahuah (pw the LORD) sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

1Sa 15:21  But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to offer (pw sacrifice) unto Yahuah (pw the LORD)  thy Elohim (pw God) in Gilgal.

The answer by Samuel is a rebuke to Saul

1Sa 15:22  And Samuel said, Hath Yahuah(pw the LORD) as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Yahuah (pw the LORD)? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Incidentally "to obey is better than sacrifice" is used by many to justify NOT keeping the Torah . Quite strange indeed. These are the very people who go to a church and presumptuously believe they can pay Elohim (pw God)  off with their weekly "sacrifice" - an hour or two of their time and perhaps a tithe or "offering"  knowing that the church they attend meets on a day that Yahuah has not commanded, neither preaches Torah obedience that Yahuah and his Son has  commanded. These churches will at the same time promote birthdays especially when it comes to their pastors whom they worship.

Now we see how Saul lost his position as king because he was rebellious against Yahuah's commands. Is it just coincidence that two characters mentioned in the bible who kept birthdays were men of kingly position; Pharaoh and Herod.

Is it also a coincidence that a lie should be promoted that claims the king of the Jews Yahushua (pw Jesus) was born on Christmas day (25 December -Mithra / Saturnalia day) which is the Catholic church's greatest pagan invention and deception. Does Satan not want to blaspheme the true King Yahushua.

25 of December is of course the birthday of the sun. The occultic Sun worship is the centre of Catholicism and Christianity which has corrupted the Way of the scriptures.  This of course would be reinforced by the Protestant Christians despite a so-called reformation which never happened.

No Doubt Remains

Many will still insist that we cannot be sure that this feast Job's sons were keeping was related to their birthdays. Well, we shall use the scriptures to interpret the scriptures. The very title in the King James Makes it Clear that Job is lamenting his birthday.

Job Laments His Birth

Job 3:1  After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day *.

So are we to conjure up some other meaning for the phrase "his day" when it has clearly been supplied by way of context here as birth day?

Strong's Hebrew:

*H3117
יוֹם
yôm
yome
From an unused root meaning to be hot; a day (as the warm hours), whether literally (from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next), or figuratively (a space of time defined by an associated term), (often used adverbially): - age, + always, + chronicles, continually (-ance), daily, ([birth-], each, to) day, (now a, two) days (agone), + elder, X end, + evening, + (for) ever (-lasting, -more), X full, life, as (so) long as (. . . live), (even) now, + old, + outlived, + perpetually, presently, + remaineth, X required, season, X since, space, then, (process of) time, + as at other times, + in trouble, weather, (as) when, (a, the, within a) while (that), X whole (+ age), (full) year (-ly), + younger.

Yes, Job curses his day, the day he was born, his birthday. This is the same phrase used relating to his sons' who did not curse but celebrated their birthdays with regular feasting.

Job 1:4  And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day (H3117) ; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

Some will argue that  the term "birthday" (Hebrew - yom yawlad ) is not used here whereas it was used in the instance of the Pharaoh... Well, that only strengthens the case that Job being a much earlier book,  would not even have such a Hebrew term yet. This whole pagan idea was new to the Hebrew hence the term had not even been coined yet. It probably was coined later from the Egyptians since it was Joseph who was there experiencing these events.

Thus the case is closed on this matter.

Righteous Job - Anti-Birthday Man

Job 3:2  And Job spake, and said,

Job 3:3  Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.

Job 3:4  Let that day be darkness; let not Elohim (pw God) regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.

Job 3:5  Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.

Job 3:6  As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.

Job 3:7  Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.

Job 3:8  Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.

Job 3:9  Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:

Job 3:10  Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.

Job 3:11  Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?

Job 3:12  Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?

Job 3:13  For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

Job 3:14  With kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves;

Job 3:15  Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:

Job 3:16  Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.

Job 3:17  There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.

Job 3:18  There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.

Job 3:19  The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.

Job 3:20  Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;

Job 3:21  Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;

Job 3:22  Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?

Job 3:23  Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom Elohim (pw God) hath hedged in?

Job 3:24  For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.

Job 3:25  For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Job 3:26  I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

What is the thing that Job feared ?

He feared the coming punishment upon his children for the love of their birth into this world more than obeying Yahuah and eternal life.

Is this some cult that Job is concocting here or a real-life situation and lesson for us. Should we bury and forget his words, are they foolish babbling and "sinful"?

Nay,  his words are not "sinful "

Job 2:9  Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
Job 2:10  But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of Elohim (pw God), and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job transgress torah (pw sin) with his lips.

Nay, Job's words are eternal and are about the promise of eternity for the righteous who love their redeemer.

Job 19:23  Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Job 19:24  That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
Job 19:25  For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job 19:26  And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see Elohim (pw God):
Job 19:27  Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

David declares along with Job

Psa 118:17-21  I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of YAHUAH (pw the LORD).
YAHUAH (pw The LORD) hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death (second death of body and soul).
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise YAHUAH (pw the LORD):
This gate of YAHUAH (pw the LORD), into which the righteous shall enter.
I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

Yes , Job lived his life righteously not as the old man celebrating birthdays but obeying torah. Like David he looked for the promise of eternal life. He despised the things of the flesh and loved the spiritual things of Yahuah and he foresaw his living redeemer, who we know as Yahushua, who would be resurrected and returning on the last day.

You will remember that the first argument we addressed in this article was the following

"The Bible says to rejoice in the day the Lord has made. We should celebrate life because God created it.

This is the day that Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24"

Part of our response to that was:

It is ironic that the Lord's day is being used here as a general day when we know this is referring to the day of Yahuah. This is Yahuah's day of judgement when we are vindicated and Yahuah's vengence is wrought upon the wicked.
So we shall end with the prophetic message of Job concerning birthdays and the conclusion of such foolishness.

Indeed, Yahuah's day (pw Lord's day) is the very day Job esteems , the last day when he together with all righteous believers shall be resurrected, it is not a day on earth in the flesh and it is not celebrated by a birthday at all, no, remember Job curses his birthday.

With reference to Job, I shall end with this final argument on the case of Job as the anti-birthday man. As I said before most of you still forget this main characteristic of this righteous man This will illustrate the great lengths people go to promote birthdays even when the anti-birthday man is in plain sight.

I came across this argument I found at https://www.truebiblecode.com/understanding229.html. While the website's answer had me laughing loudly it also was very sad to see how the whole anti-birthday thing of Job simply flies straight over their heads and birthdays are instead further promoted by it!

Argument 15

What use was it to Job to have his first 10 children killed with God's permission and then have them replaced with 10 more children? How about God not permitting his first 10 children to be killed by Satan in the first place? Who wants another 10 different children. It is not about replacing bodies it is about loving characters. Who would say to God: Yer go ahead and permit Satan to kill my existing family so long as I get the same number of children back afterwards as I had before! Having children is not about numbers it is about love.

Response 15

This is the exact kind of arrogant response a willful transgressor would make. They reject the commands of Yahuah and then turn the blame on him. They make out that Yahuah is not loving when it is He who gave us Torah for our good that we do not perish! It is like the man who regrets having a transgender op and wants to sue the doctor or the man who sues the cigarette company because he regrets his lung cancer despite the warnings.

Secondly, Job did not have anything to do with giving Satan the go ahead to destroy his children. It was his children who gave Satan the go ahead by their own rebellious pagan birthday celebrations. Job did not curse Elohim either nor transgress with his lips. Job knew they had willfully transgressed. He had done what he could from his side by offering up to Yahuah burnt offerings.

To solve this audacious "complaint" the author of the website tries to invent a theory that claims the seven brothers were all resurrected back to life based on the fact that Job only names the three new daughters but not the seven sons since he claims they were the same sons resurrected. (Eyes rolling). But wait the best is yet to come.
Job gave his 3 new daughters a land inheritance amongst their brothers. So he would also have given his 3 original daughters a land inheritance. So they would have had house which they could have used to invite their 7 brothers around. But only the 7 brothers invited their other brothers and sisters around on their birthdays....
Hippie Hep Hapy MorrisonHow many times do they have to die before they get the message and give up on birthdays? Wow, this really sounds like the sick Catholic cycle. Sin, confess to a so-called "father", put Jesus to death , eat his flesh say a few hail Marys,  go back and sin again, repeat cycle.  (See:Transubstantiation - How Low Can You Go)

Or perhaps the reincarnation myth would be in order for these seven boys until they can reach a state of perfection? This gives the saying "Many Happy returns" a new meaning or perhaps not, since pagan Sun worship has Hapi with Osiris return or be reborn every morning. (see: Refuting Reincarnation Transmigration )

But, in reality this sounds like many of us who were brought up in our pagan culture which bows to Babylon. How long did we continue in these pagan practises, birthdays, Christ Mass etc. before we saw the light of Yahuah's truth. (see Saving Christmas?)
Jer 16:19  O Yahuah, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
Thanks to him for his kindness upon us so we can repent and turn from these pagan things.

The author next tries to explain why the daughters were not resurrected and this is when I really burst out laughing and almost crying at the same time:
Whether the daughters missed out because they were inhospitable cows who did not return the hospitality of their 7 brothers when it came to be their birthdays or whether they were unworthy or unable to be resurrected for some other technical reason we do not know.

Dear, dear. So, the sinners are those mean people (cows or otherwise) who reject birthdays and do not take part in them with family and friends....

 ...people like righteous Job perhaps?

  Oops!

And Lastly The Last Supper

Our last say on birthdays comes from the Last supper, yes, Yahushua has the last say on birthdays.

What? Yes, you read correctly. If you did not read Argument 12 and Response 12 in this article then please read it now . Click Here .

We showed when Yahushua's (pw Jesus's) birthday actually was, at the time of Passover. We showed that neither Yahushua nor his parents celebrated his birthday but Passover as we're commanded. We showed that Yahushua said he is doing his "Father's business".

Now we remember that his mother kept this saying of his in her heart. Why does it say that? Well, obviously she would later understand what his greatest business would be - redeeming us to the Father through his own blood! Yes, it would involve his death and resurrection.

Well, what does Yahushua memorialise at the arrival of Passover? His birthday? No his death! Yes, Yahushua memorialises his coming death that we must ironically and fittingly remember at the time he was born. We do not celebrate his flesh but symbolically take part in the remembrance of the breaking of it and the pouring out of his blood. Yes, we remember this by the symbolic drinking of the wine and eating the bread. There are no birthday wishes, candles, cakes, greeting cards and many happy returns.

Yahushua literally tears apart everything that pagan birthday celebrations uphold when he took the bread abirthday kingnd broke it, the celebration of the earthly flesh is destroyed. Yahushua is saying you shall have no part in me unless you acknowledge and remember to put to death the flesh as I did, certainly not worship it with pagan birthdays. This must be what Job prophetically understood.

Mane manRom 6:8  Now if we be dead with Mashiach (pw Christ), we believe that we shall also live with him:
Rom 6:9  Knowing that Mashiach (pw Christ) being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Rom 6:10  For in that he died, he died unto torah transgression (pw sin) once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto Elohim (pw God).
Rom 6:11  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto torah transgression (pw sin), but alive unto Elohim (pw God) through Yah'ushua (pw Jesus) Mashiach (pw Christ) our Master (pw Lord).
Rom 6:12  Let not torah transgression (pw sin) therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Rom 6:13  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto torah transgression (pw sin):
King

but yield yourselves unto Elohim (pw God), as those that are alive from the dead [BORN AGAIN] , and your members as instruments of righteousness unto Elohim (pw God).
Rom 6:14  For torah transgression (pw sin) shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law* , but under favour (pw grace).

*[freed from law of sin and death, NOT freed from Torah]

For the law of the Spirit of life in Yahushua HaMashiach (pw Christ Jesus) hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rom 8:2)

No, Yahuhushua returns once as the Lion of Judah to judge the wicked and resurrect the righteous. and he is the Main Man in our lives, we are not the Lion King

It is interesting to note that you will often see birthday greeting cards expressing that Satanic high holiday vibe of being on the throne, yes, reference is made to the celebrant being a "King" for that day.

Birthday Ushers in the Beast?

Jesuits (Jesus/J-Zeus worshipers -Catholics et al) love dramatic irony. Birthdays are the Satanic church's high holy day so is it not fitting that Satan uses them to allow evil to enter the lives of people as it did with Job's defiant children?

Herod a pagan Jew has on his birthday a seducing women dancing asking for the head of John on his BIRTHDAY and the murder of John is committed. His head is presented on a plate.

JOHN F Kennedy the first Catholic President has a seducing Marilyn Munroe sing Happy Birthday Mr President to him dressed like a whore.

He allegedly has a one night stand with her. As a Catholic adultery and fornication is the order of the day. The RCC is the Mother of all Harlots - Babylon (spiritual and physical).

He dies - shot in the head, she dies.

This birthday evil could be the grounds that has allowed Satan to usher in the prophetic mortal wound of the Catholic church's President being healed in the form of the first Jesuit Pope's second Catholic Biden who is also a Jesuit.

Has Irish Times Editor, Fintan O'Toole just confirmed this unwittingly or intentionally with his Article title referring to Biden :

Fintan O’Toole: Biden is a Kennedy-era figure come back to heal a wound that never closed

US president-elect is a second coming of the lost moment of the Kennedys

ref the Irish Times

Notice the choice of words of "second coming" Netherlands King perfect words for an antichrist.
Rev 13:12  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
We do not in any way endorse Trump as some may automatically be programmed to assume as he is also a torahless birthday-keeping Jesuit for the pope of course.

The King of Netherlands also has an annnual birthday party inviting all to that ancient god-king spirit.

It seems there is a move to ramp up this King worship amongst the 'civilian' population recently. Note the idolatry, seduction and flattery so often tied to it.

Yes, if Satan gets it right to puff up a King on his throne then there has to be the puffed up Queen too - which is Babylon Personified,  the Harlot Church.

Rev 18:7  How much she hath magnified / puffed up (pw glorified) herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Rev 18:8  Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is Yahuah Elohim  (pw Lord God) who judgeth her.

Is it not interesting how Satan tries to mock and blaspheme Yahushua the King of the Yahudim (Jews) before and after his death and resurrection? Does Satan not want you to be a king? Is Satan still not trying to undo what Yahushua has openly put to shame, the Throne Syndrome through birthday celebrations.

Has Yahushua not spoiled the pagan feasts, including birthdays, on his very birth date by being Our Passover. That is what we are to remember, his death and therefore resurrection.

We unashamedly keep the feasts of Yahuah as his parents did and as he did and stay away from pagan feasts. (See: Whose Calendar Do You Follow?)

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a qodesh/ morally ordained day/ moed (pw an holyday), or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:  (Col 2:15-16)

What else did Yahushua do, around his birth date at the Last Supper (which is before the coming Big Wedding Feast)?

What powers, principalities  and birthday spirits did Yahushua attack?

In true servanthood he washed his disciples' feet, despite Shimon (Simon) protesting.

Yes, there was no throne syndrome but the gift of salvation through his own blood. Walk as he walked and keep birthdays away from you and your family.
