Purgatory Heresy

Purgatory:

A Heresy That Must Be Burnt Away

[Article Updated 20-03-20]

[pw = pagan word]

The following article has been written in response to this disturbing comment made to me in a discussion recently with regards to the doctrine of Purgatory:

"The word comes from the word "purge" - so it is a cleansing of the soul before one can enter heaven.

St. Paul 1Cor. 3:13-15: "The fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire." St.Paul tells us in these words that the soul shall be judged, suffer for a time and then be saved. The only place to suffer for a time before being saved is Purgatory.

St. Mt. 5:25-26 speaks of the Prison, "and thou be cast into Prison. Amen I say to thee, thou shalt not go out from thence, till thou pay the last farthing."

Certainly the Jews believed in offering prayers and sacrifice for their departed friends and relatives and they still believe in this custom for they are found always at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem."

Our Response:

II Tim:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto Yahuah, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Keep going over what has been taught to you since we have once again inherited lies.

Jeremiah 16: 19 O Creator, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. 20 Shall a man make mighty ones  (pw gods) unto himself, and they are no mighty ones (pw gods)?

Sadly many Jews also believe in Tammuz and Zoraster and fire worship too and make void Yahuah's Torah through their own traditions. Praying at the wailing Wall itself is blasphemy since this is the remnant of the fort Antonia and they face east contrary to Torah. Yahushua rebuked them on their torahless traditions, and as you will see, exposed their "purgatory"-like thinking. This is the pagan man-made religion called Judaism today which is the same as Catholicism with all its pagan roots. It is not emunah (moral conviction) and obedience to Yahuah's Word. Yahushua, a true Torah obedient Yahudi (falsely called Jew today [see  But I am not Jewish ]) reveals to us in his revelation to John very plainly:

Rev 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is kodesh (set apart unto Yahuah), let him be kodesh (set apart unto Yahuah) still.

The state at death is the state at judgement day. There is no slow change that takes place in any purgatory: Lazarus parable

There is a great gulf that Yahushua had referred to before in a PARABLE to hammer home the ridiculous idea of having some effect on the place of the dead (sheol -the grave) from the place of the living. This story is a PARABLE only since Yahuah does not allow speaking to the dead (necromancy) and Yahushua was exposing the ridiculous teachings and thoughts of what is now Judaism where men were trusting in Abraham's bosom as though Abraham their father could have some effect on them after their death. So this was even worse since it was thought that the dead could somehow help the dead. Today Catholicism is doing the same only it is not Abraham they are trusting in but the living pope and dead Mary and dead saints etc.

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in sheol (falsely called hell) he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, BETWEEN US AND YOU THERE IS A GREAT GULF FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you CANNOT; NEITHER CAN THEY PASS TO US, THAT WOULD COME FROM THENCE. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

If dead Abraham cannot have any effect in rescuing the dead or the living who are faced with damnation then neither does the pope, or dead Miriam (Mary )or any so-called Torahless Catholic "saint" or anyone for that matter. The key words are “in thy lifetime” (vs 5). It was what each had done in their lifetime namely Lazarus and the rich man that determined which side of the great gulf they would each be AND REMAIN until judgement at the resurrection.

Yahushua again:

Matt 8:21 And another of his disciples said unto him, master, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Yahushua said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury (thapto) their dead.

Yahushua plainly tells his disciple to follow him while he is presently alive for eternal life rather than to waste time at thapto (greek =funeral rites) which most likely would have involved useless prayers for the dead. He says that this is a dead work and therefore fit to be done by those who are physically alive but spiritually dead -it is a vain work in other words. It is certainly fine to comfort those who mourn after those who have passed on (Rom 12:15) but the dead cannot be assisted in any way.

The Heresy of Purgatory leaves open an opportunity for universal salvation which is the cornerstone of Roman Catholicism such as what Mother Teresa taught. Purgatory leaves open the idea then that Satan himself may be purged by this so-called purgatory fire and become righteous in the fire that he will face if prayed for by satanists for example. But this is not so.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ( the "for ever" is until he is consumed)

If purgatory were a truth Yahushua would have been a good Catholic. He would have been the first to pray for Judas, his own disciple, but he did not, neither did he ask any of the eleven to pray for dead Judas. Instead he declared Judas as lost when he prayed to his Father.

Jn 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Yahushua does not beatify or absolve Judas as the pope might attempt to by his own vatican prayers for the evil (Torah transgressors, idolaters etc) so-called Catholic "saints" who have died.

Yahushua instead prays for those who are still alive and need to continue overcoming the world- namely the eleven disciples:

Jn 17:12 Purify (pw sanctify) them through thy truth: thy word (TORAH) is truth.

Here we see where the purging takes place. It is with the living and excludes dead Judas. It takes place by obeying the Torah (guidelines and instructions: Genesis to Revelations).

Purgatory makes Yahushua's offering of his own body, as well as a person's own free will, null and void since one's future is then determined by the prayers of others who are alive while the individual is dead.

One may quote 1 Cor. 3:13-15

"The fire shall try every man’s work..... the soul shall be judged, suffer for a time and then be saved.

And then they conclude that

“...the only place to suffer for a time before being saved is Purgatory”

This is unfortunately a huge erroneous assumption since there are two fires mentioned in scripture and not just one to begin with.

Secondly the context of this scripture passage is about doctrine which is burned if it is of man. This would be things such as worldly philosophy and ironically damnable heresy such as Purgatory itself and not Yahuah's Word and based on the foundation of Yahushua. It is not referring to the burning off of sin since he later makes it clear that sin results in destruction. :

vs 17-18: If any man defile the hakal (pw temple) of Yahuah, him shall Yahuah destroy; for the hakal ( pw temple) of Yahuah is pure, which hakal (pw temple) ye are.18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with Yahuah. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

False doctrine is tested and exposed and if it is damnable heresy (leading to wilful sin) as we know, the man is damned but if it is innocent ignorance that has crept in and resulted in scriptural error then that will be excluded from a man's rewards as long as he has been obeying Yahuah's commandments as best he understands. If he is choosing man's wisdom over Yahuah's commandments to nullify them when they are clearly before him in scripture then he is on a carnal path and not spiritual and if he holds to that path he will end up sinning (transgressing Torah) to his own destruction.

The Two Fires:

The First Fire:

The fiery trials ON EARTH which either burn us up (overcomes us) or purges us depending on what we are doing (evil or righteousness) we will either reject Yahushua because of the persecution being too hard or it will make us stronger if we are truly loyal to him in the first place (the root) and love him and take to heart his Torah.

Yahushua made it clear about this fiery tribulation that tests the heart:

Mat13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root IN HIMSELF, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth BECAUSE OF THE WORD (Torah), by and by he is offended.

1 Peter4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Messiah's sufferings; that, when his splendor shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Messiah, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of Yahuah resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Netsarim* , let him not be ashamed; but let him honor Yahuah on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of Yahuah: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the good message (pw gospel) of Yahuah? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the un-Yahuah-like and the torah transgressor (pw sinner) appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of Yahuah commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a trustworthy Creator.

(*falsely called Christian/nazarite in KJV greek corruption)

From the above we see that the statement “The only place to suffer for a time before being saved is Purgatory” is false since we are told that the fiery trials we are to face are those similar to the sufferings that Messiah suffered and we know that he suffered here while he was alive on earth and not in some “purgatory”.

Secondly we see where the judgement begins- vs 17 “at the house of Yahuah”

Thirdly (v19) We are to keep our own souls in obedience while we are alive, it is not possible to have any effect on the soul in death since we cannot keep our soul in any well doing; we are simply dead (asleep knowing nothing).

If we limit the only place for suffering to a place called purgatory where we are purged of our sin, and which does not take place while we are alive on earth then we deny the fiery trials which Yahushua and Paul have plainly told us exist here for us. These fiery trials are also called chastising . The Charismatic movement, another movement, soaked in paganism, also largely shuns such a notion of fiery trials and persecution for his name's sake on earth and promotes the heresy of an abundant life here on earth with riches and prosperity. The children of both these views could be accused of being bastards.

Heb12:2 Looking unto Yahushua the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the execution stake, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of Yahuah. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, DESPISE NOT THOU THE CHASTENING OF Yahuah, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom Yahuah loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, Yahuah dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 BUT IF YE BE WITHOUT CHASTISEMENT, WHEREOF ALL ARE PARTAKERS, THEN ARE YE BASTARDS, AND NOT SONS. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his pureness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

The Second Fire:

1 Peter4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the un-Yahuah-like and the Torah transgressor (pw sinner) appear?

The disciples had already answered a similar question posed by Yahushua.

Mat 21:40 When the master therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men (those who reject Torah), and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

These Torah transgressors will appear before a different fire, which occurs with the “second death” Their souls will be destroyed by this fire, not purified.

Note vs 41 “in their seasons” -while they are able to render in their season of life versus death.

This is now fire 2 - fiery indignation, not fiery trials, and is at the end of the final judgement fire when Yahushua returns. This fire devours the adversaries of Yahuah and his Torah - it destroys body and soul, ie the second death, ie it results in total destruction.

Mat 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

The wheat is first gathered at the first resurrection and then, a millennium later, the chaff is burned. The chaff is already dead and of no use, unlike the wheat.

The chaff is not sin that is covering the already pure wheat which is sitting on a threshing floor called "purgatory". The chaff is a separate entity. The chaff is those who preach heresy (false teachers, false prophets, popes, false evangelists...) to Yahuah's true people, trying to lead them astray. This is all taking place together on the threshing floor. The threshing floor is not purgatory. The threshing floor is this world.

Thus Yahushua is purifying or separating away the chaff by the truth of his TORAH just as Yahushua prayed “thy Torah is truth purify them by your Torah” earlier.

Further evidence as to what the chaff is:

Jer 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. WHAT IS THE CHAFF TO THE WHEAT? saith Yahuah. 29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith Yahuah; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Yahuah, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Creator, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith Yahuah, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:”

....read to verse 40 for full clarity.

This chaff will bring forth other chaff and their own false teaching will not purge them but will rather condemn them and devour them. Like the straw (heresy) it will fuel the fire for their destruction.

Is 33:11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

The heresy of purgatory, as does most heresy, gives rise to further false doctrine, and therefore, a destructive future to those who propagate it. Peter did not call it damnable heresies for nothing.

11 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying (contradicting) Yahuah that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

The fiery indignation of the consuming fire of Yahuah (Heb 12:29) consuming (katanalisko)=to consume UTTERLY

Wilful sin (transgression of Torah) after justification is the sin unto death.

Heb 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR TORAH TRANSGRESSIONS (pw sins) , 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall DEVOUR (not purge) THE ADVERSARIES (of his Torah in favour of carnal philosophy etc).

Conclusion On The Two Fires:

So we see Fire 1 is the fiery trial of persecution as we stand for his Truth and Torah while we are alive on this earth.

Fire 2 is the Fiery indignation of Yahuah, something totally different and having a result of total destruction, not purging.

Purgatory Confuses the Fire

Satan is the one who would like men to believe that fiery trials are evil and should not exist for Yahuah's children on earth and that fiery indignation on the other hand is somehow good for the sinful dead and that this fire will somehow allow one to be purged regardless of how one hated Yahuah. This fire will somehow help those who rejected his law or who taught men not to obey the least of the commandments. It is plain to see how this heresy attempts to turn the truth on it's head. Is it any wonder that Satan would want you to believe in Purgatory? He wants men to believe the same old lie that he who sins shall not die as he taught in Eden, and that sin is the fruit you should enjoy, here and now, and that it will not result in pain, torment and eternal death and destruction of both body and soul.

Purgatory Denies The Finality Of Spiritual State At Death Before Judgement

Death is final and then comes judgement.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Note: death, then judgement. No purgatory mentioned in between.

Jn 8:24 ...for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall DIE IN your sins.

Yahuah speaking:

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right... he shall surely live.

He does not say you shall be purged thereafter.

Purgatory Categorically Denounced By Yochanan

Yochanan (John) tells us plainly that we can pray for our brothers that have sinned to come to repentance and be forgiven by Yahuah, while they are ALIVE, but not close to death. He explicitly says we certainly DO NOT pray for them if they died in their sin.

1 Jn 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is NOT unto (pros=close to) death [ie just before death or resulting in spiritual death] , he shall ask, and he (Yahuah) shall give him life for them that sin not unto death (in other words repent of their error before death). THERE IS A SIN UNTO DEATH: I DO NOT SAY THAT HE SHALL PRAY FOR IT. 17 All unrighteousness is sin (transgression of the Torah): and there is a sin not unto (close to) death. 18 We know that whosoever is born of Yahuah sinneth not; but he that is begotten of Yahuah KEEPETH HIMSELF (from sinning unto death, rather than his brothers vainly praying a prayer to purge this sin from him after death).

In other words there is a cut-off time before death for purging.

Note: this is exactly what Yahushua told us in Matthew about us keeping ourselves, committing our own souls while we are alive in obedience.

A perfect example of such a transgression unto death is suicide, but all unrepentant and wilful sin that's close to death is suicide since death is always at the doorstep and no man knows the hour. Thus we must keep our souls from sinning, period, and repent while we can. Judas did both: wilfully sinned and then committed suicide when it was too late for repentance, restitution was impossible. He was forever lost.

Another example: 1 Tim 5:5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in Yahuah, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

A Living Sacrifice Not a Dead One

Now Paul, who you quoted, has clearly told us what we as believers are meant to be while we are alive.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the kindesses (pw mercies) of Yahuah, that ye present your bodies a living offering, pure, acceptable unto Yahuah, which is your reasonable service.

Reasonable service is your worship while you are alive -Paul says you are to be a living offering which is already pure and acceptable to Yahuah. You cannot serve Yahuah while you are dead neither can you be a living sacrifice. In other words you are made pure while you are a living sacrifice under the fiery trials that we explained are our tribulations on earth. Isaac is our perfect analogy, as well, of a living sacrifice. Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham had to pass through that fiery trial in obedience to Yahuah and thus was purged, his heart was tested pure, undivided towards Yahuah even preferring Yahuah above his own son, thus Abraham was also a living sacrifice dedicated to Yahuah. Nothing could be more plain.

Accountability Is Denied By Puragatory Heresy

Under the renewed covenant, specifically, each shall die for his own iniquity - the son will not die because of the father's sin. Likewise, in all fairness, neither will a wicked dead father be saved by a righteous son's prayers for him in so-called purgatory.

Jer 31:29 In those days (future) they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge. 30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge. 31 Behold, the days come, saith Yahuah, that I will make a new (renewed) covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yahuah 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahuah, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.

About the Dead

Rev 20:6 Blessed and kodesh (set apart from the worldly and carnal unto Yahuah, morally and ceremonially) is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahuah and of Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Rev 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Yahuah; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and sheol (grave-place of the dead, not hell or purgatory) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works (their OWN works, not judged according to the prayers of others). 14 And death and sheol were cast into the lake of FIRE. This is the second death (for the unrighteous). 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

No purgatory mentioned here. One is either in the book of life or headed for the fire to be destroyed. Note: sheol (sheol=grave - place of departed souls) and death are cast into the fire, along with these unrighteous, to be destroyed for ever.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

All the dead are raised from the dust, not purgatory. Those at the first resurrection to life, and those, a millennium later, to eternal (second) death. The one clear commonality is they all remain in the DUST, not purgatory. Where there is dust there can be no fire, certainly not a purging fire in a certain so-called purgatory. Dust actually extinguishes fire.

The only thing that shall raise the righteous dead is the voice of Messiah.

The scripture is clear:

Is 55:6 Seek ye the Yahuah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

When you are dead in the dust you cannot seek or find, there is nothing to seek but dust and darkness and you are, after all, asleep.

Eccl 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Acts 13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of Yahuah, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 37 But he, whom Yahuah raised again, saw no corruption.

The dead are asleep and their body has been corrupted, not purged, in fact, corruption is the opposite of purging. Only Yahushua did not see corruption and it is he who will change us (who died righteous). He will change us from corrupted to incorruptible when he raises us at the last day.

1 Thess 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of Yahuah, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of Yahuah shall not prevent them (dead righteous) which are asleep.

Seeking and Finding- Limited To this Life

Is 55:6 Seek ye Yahuah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahuah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Yahuah, for he will abundantly pardon.

Jn 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name*: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition (Judas); that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Yahushua kept the disciples in Yahuah's name except Judas who was now dead and lost. The other disciples still had a chance to continue, to remain in his name, which we know they did, and many under persecution (fiery trials). Shimon's (Peter's) love, as we know, was tested and sin purged under his fiery trial when first denying Yahushua but later being fully committed to him unto death.

Purgatory: Another Way

Jn 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Purgatory is clearly another way, a pagan way, that is no way at all.

1 Thess 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are ASLEEP, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have NO HOPE [ others being those who did not live in obedience to Messiah when they were alive - they too have no hope as there is no such thing as purgatory else Paul would have stated it and recommended prayers for them ] 14 For if we believe that Yahushua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yahushua [since they lived for Yahushua while they were alive] will Yahuah bring with him (from the dust when Yahushua returns with them to heaven). 15 For this we say unto you by the word of *Yahuah (the Mighty One), that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of Yahuah shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For Yahuah himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahuah: and the dead IN Messiah shall rise first.

[* Lord in corrupted KJV Lord comes from the old English spelling of "Lard" which comes from "Lar/Larth Lares," Estruscan and Roman deities associated with Sun-worship. The Greek word "Kurios" was originally a title for the Greek and Roman Sun-deity "Helios" and was called "The Kurios (Lord) of Heaven and Earth." The Hindu god "Krishna" is also known as "Lord." The title "Lord" was eventually applied to all heathen deities. Most Bible translators continue to use the title "Lord" as a substitute name for YHVH (Yahuah).]

Purgatory is a belief that one is changed and transformed in this burning process -the scripture is clear that there is no change until the last trump at resurrection and that change is made by him and not by the prayers of others. It is for all who are true believers and have lived for Yahushua. Pay very close attention : Death will only be destroyed at the very end:

1 Co 15: 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We [true believers] shall not all sleep [ referring to those who have not yet died when Yahushua returns ], but we shall all be CHANGED, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, THEN shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Purging again refers to separating the evil people from the righteous. It is not about burning off sin and making the wicked one righteous whilst he clings to sin until death. The changing from corruptible to incorruptible happens altogether, instantly at the last trump. This quickening involves the righteous asleep in the dust, and those alive at Yahushua's return.

Ezekiel 20:38 And I will PURGE out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel.

A Warning To Purgatory Pundits

A warning to those who justify the wicked whether dead or alive, but especially the dead, through the heresy of purgatory which also often involves a reward called INDULGENCES AND PENANCE paid to the Catholic "church (pagan from circe-circus-to Helios sun god)" or other ecumenical sisters of Babylon:

Is 5:22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine (wine of Babylon-false doctrine), and men of strength ("ecclesiastical" positions appearing to be authoritative) to mingle strong drink:

23 Which justify the wicked (Torah-less) for REWARD, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the CHAFF, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as DUST: because they have cast away the TORAH of the Elohim of hosts, and despised the TORAH of the Kodesh (Pure)* One of Israel.

(*Greek corruption in KJV= holy One >>> Holy, Holiday, Holy Spirit are all interrelated and come from the Hindu religion. The words are derived from "Holi" which is the great Hindu spring festival held in honor of "Krishna," the Hindu Sun-god. Holi color festivals are now being promoted throughout the world for non-Hindus as well and "Christians" will be most comfortable too in joining in this related pagan ritual)

Note: those who justify (make a false righteousness of) the wicked through so-called rewards (receiving payment) are actually taking away righteous thinking from men by this teaching, since they believe that they then can live as they wish (Torahless like the pope) and then be purged in purgatory.

Purgatory Profits the Catholic Church

Some may quote as you:

“Mt. 5:25-26 speaks of the Prison, "and thou be cast into Prison. Amein I say to thee, thou shalt not go out from thence, till thou pay the last farthing."

This verse may often be cited to support the heresy of purgatory but Yahushua was not speaking of justifying a man for reward, a payment to the Catholic priest or anyone for that matter.

If one were to incorrectly apply what is an earthly situation to what is not a spiritual future, one would get into trouble, since how would the man who is in the so-called prison of purgatory pay a farthing, where would he obtain a farthing in purgatory? This would be further clear, if as many do, one incorrectly took the parable of Lazarus, which I mentioned earlier, as an actual future glimpse of purgatory. There we saw that the rich man figuratively had no water for his dry tongue, let alone a single farthing, even though he was rich. The parable makes it clear that this thinking is foolishness as there is a great divide separating the wicked man from ANY outside relief. There was NO bail out after death available for him. That is what the message was.

Now where Yahushua speaks of an actual scenario on earth, a civil matter referring to a literal prison on earth, after a man has been literally sued at a literal council, by a fellow citizen, the error is to now go and apply this as an allegory of a future spiritual concept called "purgatory". Instead this should be interpreted to explain once again that if one leaves a transgression while on earth so late to make amends as to end up in a real prison it is so very difficult to get out of that prison. In this earthly scenario it is clear to the listeners that this man has a way out but it is now even more costly.

How much more impossible if one has had all of life to make amends and repent before the great judge of all, Yahuah, and leaves it up to a so-called purgatory idea. The man in the Lazarus parable has nothing to make amends with since there is a great divide and he is in fact asleep in the dust ready for destruction by the fire of indignation. There is nobody to bail him out, no Lazarus no Abraham, they are also asleep on the other side of the gulf.

Now Yahushua certainly paid the bail for us. He has freed us from the prison of this second and eternal spiritual death, and, if we have been freed then we should live as a living sacrifice to him now and today, and not as a convict ready to face another prison dependant on the uncertain bail of living men. We live to obey Yahuah today else we will end up in the eternal prison of death where figuratively the keys will have been thrown away for good. We live here and now in obedience to him thankfully for the certain bail he has paid with his own blood for us. Let us not trample on that blood as though it is not good enough for us and not able to keep our souls committed to him here and now.

Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Purged) 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is trustworthy (pw faithful) that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we transgress Torah (pw sin) wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more offering (pw sacrifice) for torah trangsressions, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without kindness (pw mercy) under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of Yahuah, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was PURIFIED (PURGED), an UNPURE thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of FAVOUR (THAT LEADS TO MORAL CONVICTION TO OBEY TORAH HERE AND NOW)?

So do not let the Catholic church, or any so-called church (circus), profit from extortion (squeezing blood out of a stone) when Yahushua has already paid the ultimate price with his own blood. Assemble with his true people who are the assembly founded on Yahuah's commandments and his Son Yahushua and not founded on the pope's vain heresy.

Purgatory: A Fear And Worship of Men

Matt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him (Yahuah) which is able to destroy both soul and body in ge-henna.

If men's prayers, or lack of them, or their farthings (indulgences etc), or lack of them, for us as dead men determine our future, eternal death or eternal life, then our fear would be of other men determining our future by their works and gestures towards us during our death. This is certainly true in damnable Catholicism -men fear the pope instead of Yahuah.

Purgatory: Too Much Fire Too Late

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of Yahuah, looking for the mercy of our master Messiah Yahushua unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

It is clear that from the context of this explanation that the idea is to pull someone OUT of this particular fire and that this pulling out is associated with the avoidance of sin. It is not stating that we should push this person into this particular fire in order to burn off some sin. It is clear that the saving is done by not burning in these flames but by avoiding them altogether. These are the flames of fiery indignation associated with the results of sin while one is alive. These are not the flames of a purgatory that save since the saving is done by pulling the sinner OUT of the flames.

Purgatory: A Heresy from the Apocrypha

The Catholic bible retained the books of the apocrypha which are not recognized as part of the 66 books of the bible. Among them is the book of Macabees used to support the heresy of purgatory:

2 Maccabees 12:43-45, "2,000 pieces of silver were sent to Jerusalem for a sin-offering...Whereupon he made reconciliation for the dead, that they might be delivered from sin."

Macabees is also used by the false religion of Judaism to support the invention of Hanukah, a feast never commanded by Yahuah.

Purgatory: A Form of Judging

Wycliffe was dug up and burnt a second time by the Catholic church and his ashes thrown into the river just to ensure that he was properly dead and punished for his so-called heresy. What foolish pride purgatory brings. Wycliffe's future is unaffected by what the living tried to do to him. He will be judged without respect of persons in light of Torah during his lifetime and Yahuah is His judge not the Cathoic church.  This heresy was designed for men to fear the so-called power of the Catholic church (circus) rather than the power of Yahuah.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation (FIERY TRIALS), or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither DEATH, NOR LIFE, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of Yahuah, which is in Messiah Yahushua our Master.

So here we see that there is no gulf between those who love and obey Yahuah here and now as well as in death and resurrection. There is one, however, for those who do not love and obey Yahuah. So what separates them is their OWN selves ALONE forever in destruction.

If you stand for the truth of Messiah and His heavenly father Yahuah then you will not place your faith in the hands of any man, pope, organisation, indulgences, riches etc. You will keep your own soul close to Yahuah and commit it to the obedience of the Father Yahuah while you have breath according to his commandments and not according to false doctrines.

Shalom to you if you abide in the doctrine of Mashiak (pw Messiah)  see 2 John 1:10,11.

Purgatory A Luke Warm Drink From Babylon

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire (fiery trials), that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
