 Noah And The Genesis Flood As Folklore Or Myth.

Q 1

The most common date given for the flood is 4 400 years ago, right in the middle of the Egyptian's first burst of city and temple building, why did they not notice they were under water?

Answer

The original dates set for the age of Egypt's pyramids etc have had to be adjusted in line with the scriptural (pw biblical) account in recent times. I certainly remember being taught inaccurate school history on Egypt. Being a believer then in the accuracy of the scriptures, I knew their lies or inaccuracies would be revealed in the future. This is an embarassment to those who previously mocked the scriptures.

Usage of the wrong calendars and misunderstandings regarding Pharaohs or kings having co-regency are some of the reasons for the previous wrong calculations amongst the "scholarly" atheists. Of course they are fallible but the Creator is not, it is history or HIS-story.

Here is the ground breaking evidence showing the full explanation on how accurately the scriptures really fall in line with the corrected time frames of Egypt's pyramids and the correctly translated scriptural dates.

Q2

To flood the planet to over top the highest mountain you would need about three to four times the known amount of water in the world, where did all that water come from?

Answer

Firstly height of the mountains at that time cannot be assumed to have been what they are now. They may well have been a lot smaller before geological push-up. There may not have been a Mount Everest even, so the amount of water needed may be hugely over-estimated.

Secondly the amount of water to cover the highest mountain whatever its height would be slightly underestimated since the water covered the highest point by 15 Egyptian cubits, half the height of the ark (30 cubits according to our scriptures Gen 6:15) to allow for clearance of the hull if need be. This attention to detail further supports the ark account as more than a whimsical myth. Noah's ark ruins are not atop the mountain of Ararat but in the area of Ararat if we accept the discovered ruins as those of the ark . The ark did not run aground due to this clearance.

Gen 7:19  The waters completely overpowered the land so that all the high mountains beneath the entire sky were covered.
Gen 7:20  The waters rose 15 cubits higher, as the mountains were covered.

  It increases when Earth pulls in a dirty snowball of water.*
It decreases when water separates into hydrogen and oxygen and the hydrogen escapes into space due to the solar wind.
    It changes (at least its volume changes) when water heats up, cools down, freezes, melts, condenses, or evaporates.
    The total amount of water on Earth goes down as plants engage in photosynthesis.
    The total amount of water on Earth goes up as plant-eating animals breathe out.
    Various other processes that combine hydrogen and oxygen or break water into hydrogen and oxygen change the total amount of water around.

* Comets give us another clue. They are several miles in diameter, composed of rock, ice and other organic compounds, making them “dirty snowballs” in space, according to NASA’s near earth object program.  As their elliptical path takes them closer to the Sun, the ice vaporizes, forming a signature tail behind the comet of dust and gas.

Thus it is clear that water can come from space and be lost to space (beyond the atmosphere). These are scientific possibilities but our Creator can work outside of the dimensions of time and space. Anything is possible for Him.

So let us ask the question:  Did huge amounts of water come from outer space (shamayim) in our scriptural account according to the Creator?

The answer is Yes!
Firstly let's see how the Creator Yah'uah set things up in the beginning of creation, how were things before the Flood?

Gen 1:6-8  And Elohim said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
And Elohim made the firmament, and Divided the Waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
And Elohim called the firmament shamayim (pw heaven).


He placed the sun moon and stars within the firmament (2nd shamayim)

Gen 1:14  And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the shamyim to divide the
day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 

He separated the waters gathering some of it  at the outer extreme of the universe / firmament (3rd shamayim - highest heights)  This is where much of the water came from.
However further water came from beneath as the foundations, crust of the earth was broken up. Water gushed up at an alarming rate under pressure and heated thus having an expanded volume further increasing the rising of the water/ sea levels.

Gen 7:11  ...all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of shamayim (pw heaven) were opened.

Here we need to emphasise that some translations would translate "shamayim" as "sky" as if clouds in the sky simply began to precipitate. This itself could not create enough water to cover the earth. This is a false assumption since scriptures tells us it had never "rained" up to this time.

 The water was added since it came from outer space or beyond it from the outer firmament, it came from the waters held there.
  In simple English no water had fallen down (precipitated) onto earth previously. It was only after or during this event of water coming from the 3rd shamayim or outer space that it began to rain with cloud precipitation. This would be due to the extra water and other geological changes upon the earth. Cloud precipitation had never occurred before that. The earth previously had a temperate climate as it was watered evenly from beneath with mist, not clouds.

Gen 2:5-6  And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for YAH'UAH Elohim
 had not caused it to rain upon the earth,
 and there was not a man to till the ground.
But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

As the foundations (crust) of the earth had been broken up with the global flood as stated by Yah'uah, heat from the core would have been released to the surface through the fractures and from extensive volcanic activity and the waters became warmer and thus also expanded in volume. We know already from global warming and the effect it is said to have on rising sea levels ie increased water volume.

Q3

After the flood where did the water go?

Answer

The flood waters were removed when :
Gen 8:2  The fountains also of the deep and the windows of shamayim (pw heaven) were stopped, and the rain from shamayim (pw heaven) was restrained;

 The effect of extra water from volcanic activity, with fountains of the deep jetting up water, would have been reversed as the foundations (crust) of the earth began to settle again and close up the fractures. These fractures are now a reminder of the fact that the earth was broken up and thus we have earthquakes to this day as the plates rub up against each other.


Much of the sea bed sunk during the breaking up of the foundations of the earth allowing the sea levels to also sink. The waters thus receded.




With this recession we see meandering rivers appearing again that were already there previous to the flood which then eroded away the soft sediment layers that had been laid down in the deluge, as seen in the Grand Canyon.

 That speed would have been provided from the force of volcanic activity and water pressure from heat at the ocean floor and geysers- the fountains of the deep that were broken up. Much water was lost again into outer space through the atmosphere as huge amounts of steam and water were spouted up into outer space.

  We know there is a lot of water / ice out in space today. The reason why atheist scientists are looking for water and life (ie organic matter) on other planets
 is because they are in denial that some water came from shamayim (pw heaven) and some escaped from earth with the organic matter (amino acids). Thus they are found in space today.

Some of the water is still trapped to this day in space / atmosphere in the form of ice crystals this is a recent discovery confirmed only in 2017:

The late atheist Carl Sagan had put it down to simple reflections off the sea in his day. Perhaps if he had  believed the scriptures he would have come to the proper conclusion which we have today.



"Although water covers 70 percent of the Earth's surface, water is actually a rare substance that represents just 0.05 percent of the Earth's total mass...The amount of water on the planet has not always been the same...the Earth's oceans have lost about a quarter of their original mass... when the Earth was in its infancy, part of the water in the oceans was split into hydrogen, deuterium and oxygen via a process called methanogenesis. Both hydrogen and deuterium are low-density gases, so they rose through the atmosphere and eventually floated off into space...

Knowing how much hydrogen had disappeared from the oceans...enabled the researchers to calculate that the oceans have lost about a QUARTER of their water since the Earth’s early days...

Hydrogen and deuterium are still escaping into space, but very slowly, says Pope.

...Today the atmosphere is rich in oxygen, which reacts with both hydrogen and deuterium to recreate water, which falls back to the Earth's surface. So the vast bulk of the water on Earth is held in a closed system that prevents the planet from gradually drying out."

More water would have slowly been "removed" (or rather transferred) with the re-growth of vast vegetation, giant trees and corresponding photosynthesis and plant absorption of that water. Remembering that the mass of vegetation is largely water.

The best evidence for where larger amounts of water went after the global flood, I leave for last.

"Small pockets of water exist deep beneath Earth’s surface, according to an analysis of diamonds belched from hundreds of kilometers within our planet. The work, which also identifies a weird form of crystallized water known as ice VII, suggests that material may circulate more freely at some depths within Earth than previously thought...One of the biggest surprises, he [Steven Sherey a geochemist at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C.] suggests, is evidence for the presence of unbound water at depths below 600 kilometers."

"Proverbs 30:4  Who hath ascended up into shamayim, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? "

The answer is Yah'uah has bound it in pockets (garments) in the earth as he stated thousands of years ago before any scientfiic discovery.

But as to how much water is stored in the inner mantle is a further surprise.

A reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The finding could help explain where Earth’s seas came from.

The water is hidden inside a blue rock called ringwoodite that lies 700 kilometres underground in the mantle, the layer of hot rock between Earth’s surface and its core.

The huge size of the reservoir throws new light on the origin of Earth’s water. Some geologists think water arrived in comets as they struck the planet, but the new discovery supports an alternative idea that the oceans gradually oozed out of the interior of the early Earth."

“We should be grateful for this deep reservoir,” says Jacobsen. “If it wasn’t there it would be on the surface of the Earth and mountain tops would be the only land poking out.”

As recent as 2018 it was confirmed what we already know from the creator's own account that there is evidence of movement of sea water into the lower mantle:

  ..."blue diamonds are some of the deepest ever found. Moreover, they reveal a geochemical pathway that extends from the Earth’s crust – at the bottom of the oceans – into the lower mantle and provides a potential route for the cycling of Earth’s water."

Q4

How did eight people build a wooden ship bigger than any wooden ship built in modern times when that ship was reinforced with steel bracing and still broke up and sank?

Answer

"Modern times" does not mean more smart especially if one is not instructed by the wisdom of Yah'uah the Creator the designer of life itself. It has taken over 4 000 years for "modern times" men to work out how large stones were cut 2500 BC in Egypt. "Modern" men were even going as far as saying aliens helped out. Wow! How far some will go. It was recently discovered that simple hand tools using abrasive metal and "sawing" through with water did the job. There are however many ancient engineering feats still standing today that modern man still cannot explain.

As far as ship designs go the further we go back the more skilful the ship building becomes and the bigger the vessels.

Firstly the ark was not designed to go anywhere, it simply had to provide a stable, non-sinkable vessel. No masts, sails or rudder.

The scriptures do not say it was eight people that built Noah's ark. It tells us that eight people boarded the ark. There would have likely been paid workers who assisted.
I doubt the women had much to do with the building of the ark in any case. Many people are paid today to act and make movies about the scriptures without being believers of it, so why would it be any different in Noah's day? Why would people not want to get paid for building an ark even if they thought it was a crazy idea seeing there was no water around and it had never rained before. Noah would have had workers turning up and this would then also explain how he got to preach to many to repent for so many years,
warning them about the coming flood.

BILL NYE DEBUNKED

An atheist Bill Nye tried to debunk Noah's Ark as an impossible structure.

The vessel which Bill Nye uses to try and debunk Noah's ark was built only recently in the 1800s by a bunch of Englishman, who had no knowledge of Noah's skills and it was built with a mast unlike the ark. Well, we cannot blame them for needing a mast since they needed to go places unlike the ark which did not need to go anywhere but simply remain afloat. It ended up in the same vicinity of Ararat where it was lifted by the waters and then came to rest when the waters receded. A mast is a tall structure putting extra forces of leverage on a boat structure in a stormy sea. It is disingenuous to compare the ark with such a boat.

With the ark, however, extra stability via anchor rocks was provided and skilfully made. This is not detailed in the scriptures, but if we look at the ruins in Ararat believed to be that of the ark  we see these anchor rocks strewn across the plain. These would have been used for stability when afloat.

The quality and type of wood used is crucial, hard but tensile and the trees back then were larger giving full beams without needing as much joining. Mr Nye's example of a large wooden ship of the 1800s further lacked one small important feature which the ark had. The whole ark was coated with bitumen inside and out.


Gen 6:14  Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch (bitumen).

The bitumen created a hard shell with an inner wooden skeleton fastened with steel fasteners found at the Ararat site.

The hydrophobic bitumen surface would cause the ark's wooden structure to not absorb water thus would improve buoyancy. The strength of a bitumen coated kuphar as seen here in 1914 in Baghdad demonstrates the strength and buoyancy and these are only made from basket woven reeds and leaves not beams of gopher wood with steel fasteners. Can you count how many men are in this kuphar?

Textual evidence points to the existence of bitumen-covered reedbundle vessels in the Bronze Age (c. 3000–2000 BCE): an Ur III text from Girsu mentions, among other things, the use of vast quantities of reeds and bitumen; another Ur III text states that 900 kg of bitumen was scraped off a boat.  (ref Cog and Galley Reed boat construction and the use of bitumen.htm)

The dimensions of the ark have been studied carefully by engineers and it was found to be the perfect vessel design to handle the waves.
The dimensions of the boat structure at Ararat match the ark's dimensions.

Gen 6:15  And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 

A large modern steel ship also built by an Englishmen called the Titanic did not make it because it was not designed by Yah'uah neither built by Yah fearing men, but by people out to make money even to the point of not having enough life boats. It was built to praise man and the powerless pagan god Titan . It was not made to give honor to the name of Yah'uah. It was a floating idol that sank.

"A Babylonian cuneiform tablet on display at the British Museum suggests that Noah's Ark may have been a large kuphar. This tablet was translated by professor Irving Finkel and found to contain an ancient flood narrative that may have inspired the story of Noah's Ark. Following his translation, professor Finkel organized the construction of a large vessel of this kind, though he claimed that his 35 tonne ship was a scaled-down version of the full-sized ark. Finkel attempted to launch his "ark" in Kerala, India, in 2014, but was unsuccessful. He attributed the failed launch of his double-decker vessel to the low quality of bitumen available in the area."

Of course Finkel like Bill Nye should have stuck to the real ark facts, the correct dimensions and the real geographical spot where the bitumen is both of good quality and plenteous, namely Ararat and not in India. Finkel  believed more in a pagan corruption of the ark than the original scriptures so much so as to waste his time and efforts.
  Those who have built replicas closer to the shape and measurements of the real Noah's ark have had more success.

Contrary to Bill Nye, large ark sized ancient wooden ships were around.

“The largest wooden ships in recent history (1800s and early 1900s) tended to flex in rough seas, making them prone to leakage. These ships were carvel-built, a plank-on-frame construction method that lacks inherent resistance to racking. The stiffness of the hull depended almost entirely on the rightness of caulking between the planks.  A spectacular (almost unbelievable) solution to sheering between planks includes mortise and tenon attachments. Characteristic of Greek and Roman ships, this method was in use well before the 14th century before Christ [Mahiach] , then faded away around A.D. 500 to be forgotten until recently rediscovered through underwater archaeology. This lends credence to the records of ark sized wooden ships or antiquity.”

Once again I submit that leakage would have been further prevented in the large wooden ark by the bitumen used as instructed by Yah'uah.

Larry Pierce

"cites the following from Ussher’s description of a naval battle in the Aegean Sea in B.C. 280:

When Antigonus, surnamed Gonatas, the son of Demetrius Poliorcetes, heard how Seleucus was murdered, he made an expedition into Macedonia. He planned to get there before Ceraunus could, with his army and naval forces. However, Ceraunus had all Lysimachus’ fleet in readiness, and set out and met him in a good battle formation at sea. In his navy, ships were sent from Heraclea in Pontus, some of six, some of five tiers of oars. These kinds of ships were called “Aphracta”. The largest ship of all had eight tiers of oars and was called the Leontifera. She was admired by all for her large size and exquisite construction. In her were a hundred oars per tier, so that on each side there were eight hundred rowers which made 1600 in all. On the upper deck or hatches there were 1200 fighting men who were under two special commanders. When the battle began, Ceraunus won and Antigonus was forced to flee with all his navy. In this fight, the ships from Heraclea performed the best and among them the Leontifera did the best of all.

Following this description, Pierce explains “We are not given the dimensions of this ship. However, the oarsmen on each tier would have to be at least three feet apart, the approximate distance between airline seats. (Has anyone ever complained of having too much space between airline seats?!) For 100 rowers per tier, allowing for a bow and a stern, this ship could easily have been 120–150 metres (400–500 feet) long.”⁾ The article follows with other ships of antiquity
Pierce also refers to “the grand-daddy of ancient warships” (his words) as described by Athenaeus.

But since we have mentioned the subject of the building of ships, let us speak (for it is worth hearing of) of the ships which were built also by Ptolemaeus Philopator, which are mentioned by the same Callixeinus in the first book of his Account of Alexandria, where he speaks as follows:- “Philopator built a ship with forty ranks of rowers, being two hundred and eighty cubits long and thirty-eight cubits from one side to the other; and in height up to the gunwale it was forty-eight cubits; and from the highest part of the stern to the water-line was fifty-three cubits; and it had four rudders, each thirty cubits long; and oars for the thranitae, the largest thirty-eight cubits in length, which, from having lead in their handles, and because they were very heavy in the part inside the ship, being accurately balanced, were, in spite of their bulk, very handy to use. And the ship had two heads and two sterns, and seven beaks, one of which was longer than all the rest, and the others were of smaller size; and some of them were fixed to the ears of the ship; and it had twelve undergirths to support the keel, and each was six hundred cubits in length. And it was well proportioned to a most extraordinary degree; and all the appointments of the vessel were admirable, for it had figures of animals on it not less than twelve cubits in size, both at the head and at the stern, and every part of it was inlaid and ornamented with figures in wax; and the space between the oars down to the very keel had a running pattern of ivy-leaves and thyrsi; and there was great store of every kind of equipment to supply all parts of the ship that might require any. And when it put to sea it held more than four thousand rowers, and four hundred supernumeraries; and on the deck were three thousand marines, or at least two thousand eight hundred and fifty. And besides all these there was another large body of men under the decks, and a vast quantity of provisions and supplies.

Pierce did not cite the passage but only expressed the significance of measurements in modern vernacular as follows:

Athenaeus gives us a detailed description of a very large warship, built by Ptolemy Philopator (c. 244–205 bc). It was 130m (420 feet) long, 18m (57 feet) wide, and 22m (72 feet) high to the top of her gunwale. From the top of its sternpost to the water line was 24 metres (79.5 feet). It had four steering oars 14m (45 feet) long. It had 40 tiers of oars. The oars on the uppermost tier were 18m (57 feet) long. The oars were counter-balanced with lead to make them easier to handle. It had a double bow and a double stern and carried seven rams, of which one was the leader and the others were of gradually reducing size. It had 12 under-girders 275m (900 feet) long. The ship was manned by 400 sailors to handle the rigging and the sails, 4,000 rowers and 2,850 men in arms for a total of 7,250 men.^"

 How did animals with odd diets get to the ark?

Answer

The general diet was plant matter for us and the animals so there was nothing too odd.
The animals came by their own accord just as I have had animals turn up on my property. Animals are known to sense danger ahead of time. This behavior in animals can still be observed today and is only now really getting more scientific attention. However miracles override the norm and with Yahuah anything is possible in any case. If he wants to make a donkey talk he can even do that. He is the Creator.



  The animals would likely not have rushed at the last minute. The Creator sent them to Noah over time. Some may have frequented the area as Noah built the ark while others could have come just weeks before sensing danger.  We must remember that all the species of animals could reach Noah as they were not divided by continents yet.

 Even today diets of "carnivorous" animals can be varied - eg cats who have now become carnivorous post flood can still eat meat-free diets just as man can. Kenyans in Africa were found to previously be living almost entirely on banana for food and drink. When they were suddenly colonized and began to be offered "white man's" food they began to die.

Kenyan people only had to adapt and the genetic makeup from their common ancestor Adam enabled them to do so. The same exists for animals. When the "white man" came it did not take millions of years for the Kenyan to  "evolve" into omnivores over "millions of years" but they merely adapted since the Creator had placed all the necessary requirements within the genetic make up of man and beast to be able to adapt.

Yah'uah has allowed our body's to turn genes on and off to adjust to changes (this is not evolution).

After the flood in fact the Creator Yah'uah allowed man to eat clean (tahor) meat but said we are not to eat unclean food (eg camel, pork shellfish etc etc). Obviously the Creator knows which genetics he has made compatible for us. Thus we see the rejection of pig implants in people, Listeriosis from pig, Ebola from bats, poisoning from molluscs, madness which develops in cannibals etc, etc.

The eating of meat is not the norm and we will return to the former state as herbivores along with the animals in the new shamayim (pw heaven) and new earth prepared by our Creator for his children. This has been prophesied thousands of years ago.

Isa 11:7  And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 65:25  The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my set apart mountain, saith Yah'uah.

Q6

How did eight people deal with the needs of 10000 animals on the ark? Each animal had to be fed, watered, exercised and the poop scooped.
Working 12 hours a day they would need to deal with over 100 animals per hour.

Answer

I was not there and we are not told. The evidence is that we have the animals alive with us today this side of the flood.

Here is a scenario that could have easily worked.
For the sake of the food quantity we shall be generous and assume every animal to be a foal (young horse) to average out size, leaving out birds here which actually make the process even easier.

A male horse eats 10 pounds a day of straw thus 10000 junior horses say 5000 pounds =2268 kg x 365 days = 825.552  tonnes straw.
  What about grains eg barley?

Most accounts speak of three levels in the ark however my proposal is four.

Gen 6:16  A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

The door in my view is in the side to enter the main floor of the ark and then relative to that there is the "lower" deck and above the main floor were the "second and third stories". This makes four levels in my interpretation. This fits in well with the even number of eight family members involved in the animal care.

Four levels of animals with 2500 per level 1, 250 starboard and 1, 250 port side, two family members on each level, one each side, thus each family is assigned  1, 250 animals each. The animals are simply let out their stalls and walk (are exercised) to their food as with herding sheep. The food is piled against the back and front of each deck one end for starboard animals and the other end for port side. An eight hour work day not bad! Weight distribution is kept under control in this way as well.

Seven each of the clean animals were also taken in and thus there would also be goats and cows milk etc available for consumption by crew and animals.

A fence is in place in front of the food to control the animals and with time pushed back as the animals consume the food. Animals could be grouped in size to allow for different restriction of each feeding.  (fences with small gaps, tall fences with larger gaps through which to eat). Also the amount of time is controlled in this way per feeding, less time for smaller animals more for larger. The family member then herds the animals back. An average of say 15 minutes per 150 animals is spent on feeding by each family member. So in 4.25 hours 2500 animals per level are fed by the 4 pairs of members in total. This would be repeated for the second feeding. 

Remember that some animals could be grouped together in their stalls so the family member had less stalls to open and close or tie and untie each time perhaps only 50 per session.
This task would have been easier than this since there would be birds all eating at one feeding as seed was thrown to them in cages.

Water troughs were made to allow flow of water, of which there was no shortage, into and out the stalls. No filling and emptying should have been necessary with a steady stream of rain.
The poop would have fallen through a grid system on which the animals stood while eating the straw. Droppings probably would have been flushed out in the shute below by the same water from the continuous water trough run off.  In this way the poop would be kept soft and not clog the system (minimal maintenance).

Metabolism would most likely have been different back then since the development rates were slower and the life spans longer. People reached puberty only around 30 or even later according to palaeontologists. Pineal glands are affected by sun rays, the type of sun rays were different then. Many animals are capable of hibernation mode. The quality of food would have been richer too. It was not messed up by genetic scientists from Monsanto and sprayed with pesticide. There was less carbon on the earth and food would have been more nutrititious as evidenced by global warming today :

In a high-carbon atmosphere, wheat will become less nutritious, losing 6% to 13% of its protein, 4% to 7% of its zinc and 5% to 8% of its iron"

Perhaps we could reduce the feeding requirements by one third even. Fasting is also not a problem for animals and men alike if food is to be rationed. Mashiach survived 40 days and 40 nights by the hand of Elohim in fasting. Thus we can throw in some days of fasting into the equation given that activity was reduced on the ark. 
The amounts were further reduced since these animals would have probably been at their youngest, possibly even unhatched eggs if reptiles (and dinosaurs) which would not need any food till hatched (however long that took).

How did the animals get back to the four corners of the world when all plant life had been killed off by the flood?

Answer

This one is probably the easiest to answer. The animals had no rush in getting to the four corners of the world since it was joined as one super-continent divided only by rivers. Scientists call this super-continent Nuna ( they recognise what the scripture speaks about but of course they deny the Creator and so its existence has to be made millions of years back since they want everything to have happened by random chance without the Creator and they need millions of years to make that plausible when it still is not.)

Plant life did not die since seeds were abundant. Seeds remain dormant for some time before growing and even vegetative growth can be kept dormant till the right conditions allowing for clones to develop. The genetic pool of plant life was stronger then and plants were not susceptible to disease and stress as today. As vegetation grew back in the soaked fertile sedimentations the animals would have begun to multiply and slowly moved out. They had 50 years or so to do this after the flood.


Why 50 years? The simple answer is found in the scriptures. We can see time period based on the genealogical record of scripture. After the flood a man is born and his name is Peleg which in Hebrew means EARTHQUAKE . The scriptures make it very clear why his name is important and his time of birth.

Gen 10:25  And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

So we can see when the geological events took place namely eathquakes resulting in divisions of the earth primarily with continental drift and then the divisions or seperaration of people and animals as a result.

Here we see the genealogies as given in scripture. These are not myths and legend they are historical landmarks in time. This is not the epic of Gilgamesh or some other flood legend, this is the original account of the Genesis flood, and everything else that emanates from it are other people's fables and legends created from it just as some of the apocrypha have done with the New Testament or Hollywood has done with the scriptures eg The Movie "Exodus: Gods and Kings". Legends usually always are exaggerations of a true event and only a true event can have geological, genealogical, chronological accuracy of which we have here. The oldest trees of the earth are not older than the flood. The giant Redwoods which do not burn in fire are still standing today on the bedrock and are 4000 odd years. All other ancient trees before were destroyed in this world flood. There is no historical document that I know of that records the exact time of the splitting of the super-continent but we have it in the chronology of the scriptures of Yah'uah which also fills in the gaps of other historical time-lines such as Egyptian dynasties.

Eber by the way is the first mention of an Eberite (Heber or Hebrew) thus Peleg was the first true son of a Hebrew.

So since the development of the crust (foundations of the earth) being broken up we now have the tectonic plates moving and further geological global changes as the continents drift apart, fast at first and then probably slowing down over time. This is why Africa and Australia share the same acacia species since they were part of the super-continent. They in fact had a heated debate about who should have rights to the title of Acacias being indigenous.  Again the scriptures explain it all, no need to be a scientist, simply hear it from the account of the people who were there!!

Now that the diet had changed, animals would become carnivorous such as bears, crocs, cats, monkeys etc would begin to catch fish trapped in small pools etc . Dead carcasses of whales and other large sea animals by the thousands would have been strewn across the terrain etc (this is why whale skeletons have been recently found in the desert) , a meal for even birds, kelp a source for many animals and birds, would have been plentiful,  plants on the highly elevated levels would not have been uprooted or killed since we know the olive branch was collected as soon as the water had begun residing. The tree was still rooted and alive. Thus there would have been rapid regrowth again of many trees which had not been uprooted.

Some of the clean animals probably began to produce young in the ark already and thus there would be more sustenance after leaving the ark for the family. Seeds and pods would have been strewn across the sediment like a sower sowing seed and this would have begun sprouting like a field of green pasture.

Noah and his family could have caught fish for those animals who were short of food and could not catch for themselves. Some food could have been left over in the ark for those animals. Noah had seed of his own, most likely, and according to scripture grew a grape vineyard as well. 

 One has to only see how quickly seeds spring up in a desert. Once the plants have the right conditions some can even come up overnight. The return of warmth of the sun would have been the catalyst. The grasses did not have to be tall but simply abundant  which would have been the case, creating a pasture for the cattle etc.  We see how goats can graze and survive in the wilderness on meagre grass. But this was not a wilderness. The soil was now fertile with organic material (compost) and soaked with water and enriched minerals from the sea.

The story of the survival of the plants in the flood actually prove the science of the flood rather than challenge it.

According to the Flood timeline..., it is worth noting that the earth was not completely covered for the entire Flood year. The longest possible amount of time that seeds / plants would have been in or under water, without any contact with land, is 278 days (about nine months and one week)."

This number of months is extremely fascinating since in my research I discovered this regarding Amazonian trees :

 that more than "1000 tree species grow in an environment subject to extended annual submergence which can last up to 9 months each year. *"

Did you hear that? Is this a coincidence or does this not bring the factual events of the Genesis Flood in line with something built into the genetic makeup of plants that have survived the 9 month submergence of the Genesis flood? They go on to say:

"Water depth can reach 10 m, fully submerging young and also adult trees, most of which reproduce during the flood season. Complete submergence occurs regularly at the seedling or sapling stage for many species that colonize low-lying positions in the flooding gradient. Here hypoxic conditions prevail close to the water surface in moving water, while anaerobic conditions are common in stagnant pools. Light intensities in the floodwater are very low.... Trees are especially vulnerable to submergence in warm conditions, which makes their tolerance in tropical Amazonia all the more remarkable since warm growing conditions last the whole year"

Not only that but the trees survive high sedimentation which is something that would have occurred in the Genesis flood.

"The sediment-rich white water floodplains of the Amazon River and its tributaries – called várzea (Prance, 1979) – are subjected to high rates of sediment deposition which can amount to 300–1000 mm each year (Junk, 1989, Campbell et al., 1992). A concentration of about 100 mg L−1 of suspended mineral solids has been reported near Manaus. In deep water, 0·5 m from the bottom, suspended solids may reach 822 mg L−1 (Furch and Junk, 1997). These fine–coarse sediments increase the severity of hypoxia and prejudice leaf photosynthesis below water by imposing turbidity and depositing sediment on the leaf surfaces that remains after the floodwater recedes (Ewing, 1996)."

Considerable seedling mortality is brought about by flooding in the Amazonian floodplains. However, Ziburski (1990) found that most tree species fatalities are higher from drought than from flooding.*"

We know that many species of trees thrive in semi submerged conditions today. The fact remains that there is a mechanism within certain plants that allows survival of a nine month submergence as would have been experienced in the flood and those survived the flood and are here with us today. Plants that cannot do that today have probably had that mechanism turned off as they are not going to be exposed to a global flood again as promised by Yahuah. The Creator has said he will destroy the earth at the end with fire not water as the apocalyptic movie 2012 falsely portrayed with its laughable steel arks.

By the way this movie grossed a worldwide total of $769.7 million. It was of course based on pagan interpretations of Mayan prophecies which of course never came true in 2012 and neither will they in the future as they are not according to the true account of scripture. There is not goint to be a global flood again.

Unlike the ark with the correct geographical site being located in Ararat this fictional movie ends with a giant geographical error:  "The arks approach the Cape of Good Hope, where the Drakensberg mountains (now the tallest mountain range on Earth) of KwaZulu-Natal is emerging"
Of course the geographical astute would be howling with laughter since the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa are not at the Cape of Good Hope (Cape Province) but over 1500 kilometres away in the Province of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

If there were 10 000 animals on the ark representing about 40 000 species, and there is now about

8.7 million species on Earth, each species surviving the flood would have to generate 217 new species in the 4 400 years since the flood.

Answer

Every kind (baramin), NOT species was taken upon the ark and this excludes sea life thus the number of 8.7 million is misleading since it is inflated and includes sea life which were not subject to bottlenecking and remained largely alive in the water. Added to that we also must exclude the largest contributor to the number of species, that being insects. Millions could have survived by settling on debris resulting from the deluge. The vast population of sea and fresh water life would have survived in areas safe from debris in rock crevices etc.

So lets break it down:

1) Mammals:

According to Mammal Species of the World, 3rd Edition (Wilson and Reeder 2005), the most recent authoritative published checklist of modern mammal species, there are 5,416 different species of mammals.

2) Reptiles and birds

"Approximately 10,000 extant species of traditional reptiles are known, with birds adding about 10,000 more"

thus we have  only a  total of 25, 416  current species excluding insects and sea life.

 In the United States, the number of described insect species is approximately 91,000. Given the rapidity at which insects breed it is not difficult to imagine rapid speciation for these after the flood.

We must remember that speciation depends on rate of reproduction which is generally seen to be higher when there is either little competition  or plenty of wide open space or plenty of food or all of the above. The latter would have been the scenario post flood. Rapid speciation would have taken place over a few thousand years. There is no such thing as fixity of species (a theory of Charles Lyell - Darwin's mentor). Thus the diversity increased as the environmental changes increased with the continents drifting apart. Prior to the flood the super-continent was relatively temperate throughout being watered by mist (not rain) a total different weather system and where the animal population was centred around one main area under the same climate, a supercontinent.
The insect and aquatic life would have been subjected to a natural selection where the weakest were culled by the deluge. This would have resulted in the strongest species being left to rapidly diversify.


Since the animals were close together post flood at first, reproduction would have been more frequent in the first 50 years after the flood. These cross bred animals would have then had the genetic information for future speciation and spread out before the land was divided by further continental drift and loss of land bridges. Arriving at the current animal distribution we have today.

One should also not confuse natural speciation with man-made hybrids which usually involves man's involvement such as the mule etc but one should exlcude this important contribution to the diversification we see today especially in more recent years. Noah and his extended family would have played a large part perhaps in speeding up this process having all the kinds of animals as good as domesticated to encourage breeding etc before being sent out, much in the same way conservationisits rapidly increase animal populations today.

If a species undergoes a population bottleneck, the lack of genetic diversity can be seen in the members of that species. NO such bottle neck exists in the overwhelming majority of species.

Answer

There is no dramatic botteneck since the word for "kind" in scripture is the same as "genus". It is the beginning point for all the species. Noah took animals of every kind (genus). These animals contained all the genetic information to create the species that followed. Said another way all the species were "bottled" in each genus and when the ark opened, the cork of each genus popped and  thereafter speciation continued where it left off unhindered by any bottleneck. This question will be answered in more detail under question 10.

4400 years is not a long enough time to generate the diversity in the human population to give rise to the different populations of people we see on the planet.

Answer

When one takes the evolution story that man is supposed to be 200, 000 years old (conservatively speaking) then there is a problem.
 You have one in a trigintillion chances of making me believe the story of evolution.
 I would believe the true story of the flood and the ark any day, and my conviction has not changed for over 30 years. Real science increasingly supports the biblical time line.

If one tries to explain diveristy in man as a result of evolution then you will have a problem which is exactly why we reject evolution. We declare speciation as the reason for diversity in man, as seen in the modern population today, not evolution. Remember that speciation is not evolution. The creator placed within Adam and Eve the ability to produce all the varieties of people we have today but Adam and Eve remain their common ancestors.


There was no evolution from ape to Neanderthal and then man. Man and animals appeared at the same time (one day apart to be precise in the biblical account) and that has now been largely proven in an extensive scientific study.

Varation or diversity is produced by the most common cause and that is SNP (single nucelotide polymorphisms). 10 million of these are present in our genetic make up today.




"Selection’ selects from something pre-existing; it selects out of; it is not ‘natural invention’. Therefore affirming natural selection and speciation is not the same thing as affirming evolution. Natural selection is a necessary part of the creation model for rapid speciation. It is a process of culling, of choosing between several traits, all of which must be in existence before they can be selected. Evolution on the other hand, requires the generation of radically new functions—not simple changes, but incredibly complex ones, like how to convert sugars to energy, or how to take the energy in sunlight and store it in sugar molecules. To do this, evolutionists appeal to mutations.

But as Dr. Robert Carter wrote in his article on the four dimensional human genome, the complexity of the human genome stores information on at least 4 different dimensions (The linear DNA molecule is the first dimension, the 2-D interaction network represents a second dimension, the physical shape of the DNA in the nucleus is the third dimension, and all of that changes in the fourth dimension, time.). The simultaneous encoding of multi-dimensional information makes it impossible for evolutionists to explain the origin of the genome by means of ‘slow and gradual’ steps, one mutation at a time.

Absolutely not!” Furthermore, time only degrades the genome due to genetic entropy"

The evidence of Genetic entropy is a further dilemma for the evolution theory and evidence of it proves that man is weakening and that life on the planet is wearing out like a garment as explained.

Heb 1:10  And, "You, Yah'uah, have laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the shamayim (pw heavens)  are the works of Your hands.
Heb 1:11  They shall perish, but You will remain. And they shall all become old as a garment.

It has not taken man long to produce a diversity of animals within say the dog genus. Man has not created anything here - it was already created within each genus. We have miniature versions, hairless versions, wrinkly versions, spotted...
modern dog breeds. These have occured by man's intervention and when it comes to diversity of people it is safe to say this has purely occured by man's interventon of course in reproduction.

 The previous theory that different populations of man evolved independent of each and then appearing in different corners of the earth demanded one to believe that more time would be needed for speciation as different populations require more time to meet and interact but as we know that theory has been debunked showing all populations to have come from one common ancestor ( Adam according to scripture and interaction was from the beginning resulting in the races. No evolution is necessary since the genetic pool was present already within Adam. Darker skin versus lighter skin for instance is not a genetic evolution but a mere turning on and off of a gene to affect melanin production.

We already see some of these dramatically different phenotypes recorded early in the scriptures post flood.

Gen 27:11  And Jacob said to his mother Rebekah, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.

Gen 25:25  And the first came out red, all over like a hairy garment. And they called his name Esau.


 The main genus contained all the genetic information for variations via speciation. Scientists' second mistake in the past was to restrict the DNA information of man to only 2%. This would bolster their need to require more time. In fact when scientists cannot show the intermediaries in their so-called evolutionary tree they simply say give me more time.

Thus the info they now consider responsible for diversification has more than doubled from 2% to 4 or 5% in people

This DNA was previously considered junk DNA or genetic detritus. It would not be the first time scientists overlooked the creation of Yah'uah as useless. This also happened with the so-called vestigial organs theory in man where they were considered useless left overs of evolution. That theory has since been disproved.

The creator placed a vast amount of genetic info in our genome for a reason, for greater diversity than expected by scientists and this has allowed for changes that would occur in the life of the planet for man to adapt to eg, diet from herbivorous to carnivorous, hairless to hairy etc. Many scientists have rebuked those scientists who have oversimplified the genetic code.
 
One such example of this oversimplification is shown with the well known misleading "proof" that we have "evolved from chimps". This misleading over-simplification of genetic information has created a narrow mindedness approach to the real ability that the Creator has given each genus to be able to rapidly speciate with genes being turned on and off.






With regards to the 4 400 years not being enough time for people to diversify let's look at this info from another website:

Recently scientists confidently claimed that the oldest man or his so-called relative was dated 400, 000
years old as claimed by a finding in Marocco and a claim of a 900 000 "girl hybrid" from a single finger bone fragment (quite a claim).

These claims of course rely on dating methods known to be innaccurate and unreliable the older the specimen is.

I do not want to calculate the projected population that we then should have had by now based on this 400 000 / 900 000 year proposal suffice to say there simply are not enough fossils or graves for such a population and thus once again Darwin's theory by his own account was just that, a theory because of the lack of fossil records which he admitted.

  But science has more accurate genetic data that contradicts such inaccurate fossil dating.

If scientists can disagree by 700, 000 years based on what they call accurate empirical testing methods then we know we cannot trust the zeros they add onto the ages of specimens.

One  would require far more fossils and fossils with intermediary states to prove evolution than one needs genera to prove speciation.

Having said that you should also remember that it is only through the global deluge that you have any global fossils in the first place since the rapid sealing off of oxygen by mud covering the specimen is what preserved it.

Ironically the reason for the shortage of the fossil record is also on account of the flood since most bodies were swept into the depths of the ocean with the deluge.

This is where the so-called "genetic detritus" of chromosomes in every kind / genus comes in. Scientists foolishly call these extra genes useless left overs of evolution (they made the same false claim with our vestigial organs much to their embarrassment). However these genes provided a pool for more speciation to continue where it left off over that 4400 year period after the flood and remember again life span was much longer then. Men were living for hundreds of years still after the flood until their lifespan was shortened by Yah'uah. Thus the animals as well had more time for reproduction and speciation to explode. As you can see the reproduction was much higher, and fertility was higher.

Gen 5:26  And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

Noah however prior to the flood was the oldest recorded in scripture when he had children.

Remember as well that a year is not a Gregorian calendar year either, the so-called "pope" was not around back then to corrupt the Creator's scriptural calendar which is based on the barley being ripe. If it is not ripe in time with the new moon equinox that year is given 13 months. A very rough example : if a 13 month long year occurred on average every four years
then the Gregorian calendar equivalent for Methuselah could be as much as 16 years longer. Adding this to the lifespans of all those mentioned in the scriptures living and reproducing at the same time in the population would have provided longer periods for reproduction and thus increased "speciation".

So remember now that this study proves again that all the species we have today orignated all at the same time (man and animal one day apart) but in the form of their predecessor genus. In other words the Creator created each genus with the full ability to create all the species we see today.

Take the genus canis, the wolf which only became domesticated once and then only in the last 200 years or so has led to a species explosion by people breeding specific phenotypes. This did not require 1000's of years, neither millions.

When it comes to people, diversity in genotype and phenotype is not as simple to explain or determine. How does one put a number to phenotype and genotype. Even two identical twins have the same genome but their phenotypes will never be the same. So diversity can occur by phenotype within one and the same genome. This is often not realized when we have everybody related to one common ancestor as proven by National Geographics, who scripture calls Adam.
